He got the shot he wanted and we all probably wanted, just didn't fall this time. He was remarkable in the last month, a complete 180, no need to hang your head

Walton finished his senior year 10x the player he'd been for 90% of his career. OP is trolling.

Makes sense.  I can see some AI in his game.  He doesn't have the same crossover, but AI was killer with the step-back, fadeaway jumper.

IMO, his biggest nightmare last week is still outweighed by the six weeks of dreamy basketball that preceeded it.

not sure if any sportswriters have brought this up, but it bears mentioning.

I'll bet you anything he had in his mind that Oregon (ridiculously) had two fouls left to give. There was probably a little bit of shock he got that good a look. The smallest thing like that can be just enough to throw off your shot. I couldn't believe we got that good a look when they had two to give.

The young man is 21, 21?, has thousands of fans from the Michigan fanbase, attended a university famous for its many connections once one of the Michigan family hits the job market. He should look back at his final three weeks of M basketball with nothing but pride, and the knowledge he lead the team to a tremendous run. Yeah, he missed a shot, but something tells me, no matter what he wrote, he'll recover nicely  Further, his worst nightmare is already realized. Young man is going to have great life

Great job, young man.  HAIL

I feel for him. He will likely always ask himself "what if"? I hope he has time to reflect on how great of a run he had at Michigan. I was lucky enough to meet him a couple weeks ago and chat with him for a couple minutes- he was very humble and appreciative of the support. It's hard not to like the guy. Even my Sparty friends respect him. He is a Michigan legend now. He's earned it.
