Vote for Donnal (Ohio player of the week)

Submitted by aleng on December 29th, 2012 at 11:34 AM

Donnal is up for an Ohio player of the week award. It looks like he should have no problem winning it but I wanted to pass it on to the board.

You can vote here if you're so inclined, http://www.jjhuddle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=274621

Edit: Actually there is a kid from Salem who is ahead...

Edit2: Thanks for the votes! Donnal was down ~200 votes and has now pulled ahead, voting ends 1/3. FWIW,he had a really solid week and plays a really good Central Catholic team tonight.

Edit3: Kid from Salem is back up by 70 votes.

Edit4: I don't know how bots work but votes for the kid from Salem appear to by increasing at an unrealistic rate...

Looks like he is behind some guy from Salem.  Donnal is going to be a nice player.  He looks like a great fit.  He can hit the outside shot and be a force under the basket.

Yep, you got me "Mr. Professor of Ethics."  I know nothing about ethics.  I do know that not everyone voting on there has seen all of the games since many of the games occur at the same time.  It's like saying you should not be able to vote for the Heisman winner unless you've watched every single snap of every game.

Are you serious?  It's an award based on internet voting, so any yahoo with an internet connection can vote, and I bet most of the people who are voting are doing so for fairly comparable criteria.

What if my sole reason for voting was "he goes to my school" or "he's my nephew."  Would I have poor values then?

That said, I have actually watched every one of those kids play all of their basketball games since birth, as well as their other sporting events and have interviewed their friends and teachers to gauge their character.

Based on that information, Donnal was the best choice and received my vote (on multiple devices).

You may have had a better argument that voting is political and political discussions are verboten on this site, thereore don't vote. It's as spurious as your original contention, but more salient, perhaps.
