Video of the Harbaugh, Winston, Petty meeting etc.
Great look into Winston and Petty's visit to AA:

Winston and Petty were Harbaugh'd.

Winston quote: "I wish I could have played for him!" He been Harbaughed!

I really dig this news guy they brought in, but it's sort of awkward hearing him talk endlessly about "U of M." "Michigan" works, man.
February 18th, 2015 at 2:41 PM ^
They mean the same thing and have the same amount of syllables.
February 18th, 2015 at 7:38 PM ^
I think U of M might be before your time. Old school.
February 18th, 2015 at 2:36 PM ^
Winston's comment about the facilities being excellent was also interesting. Kind of took for granted that a major program like FSU would match what we have, but I guess not.
February 18th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
I'm sure they do...I think they're being really nice guests.
February 18th, 2015 at 4:26 PM ^
The southern schools don't have indoor facilities for obvious reasons. I think that's mostly what Winston was talking about.

Hey, I haven't tried the Huma Lupa Licious yet... worth giving a try? Would like others' opinion as well, pretty sure I know what you think of it.

It's pretty good, but it's very heavy and very hoppy tasting. I don't so much mind the hoppy taste, but it's a very heavy beer that sits with you for a while. You'll have a hard time making it past 2 or 3. But at something like 10.5% you may not need to...

As far as IPAs go, it is quite bitter and dry, with low residual sweetness. Hops are more pine/resin focused than citrus or fruit. It's not quite the balance I like in my IPAs, but If that sounds like something you would like than go for it. Short's makes good beer.

Recruiting: Boom! Harbaughed!

Winston and Petty on Michigan's facilities: Winston: "We don't have this" at Florida State. Petty: "This is, bar none, the best I've seen."

It seems like at least a few would stumble onto these just by doing research about the programs and schools at Michigan anyway, though obviously you wouldn't rely on people just happening upon the site.
I would have to think that at least directing recruits to the site for things like this is probably just fine per the NCAA (electronic correspondence is allowed in some forms anyway). If the links to videos were in an e-mail, I believe that passes the test. This was also tweeted out for general consumption, so there's definitely no issue here.
I don't think you can send out physical media like DVD for these things, at least not to uncommitted recruits, but I could be wrong there.
February 18th, 2015 at 4:04 PM ^
They're recruiting guys, the whole staff up and down the line. Often this includes adding them and communicating with them on twitter and facebook. Wouldn't it be simple enough to send a tweet, or a quick facebook post, saying "Happy Wednesday KJ You're A Baller check out this quick video." Would certainly work for non-QBs as well, given the comments about facilities and the notoriety of the visitors.

How to answer questions. What questions will be asked, etc. Thanks Coach!
February 18th, 2015 at 3:08 PM ^
February 18th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
Yes, they should not indicate that they are always trying to improve. Just communicate that the NFL is gettign just what they are at the time.
February 18th, 2015 at 3:13 PM ^
Al Glick is arguably the best indoor practice facility in the country and they probably worked out there seeing as it's 0 degrees outside. I doubt FSU has something as nice since they can practice outside 365 days of the year.
February 18th, 2015 at 4:55 PM ^
where you work up a sweat just getting up in the morning. So maybe they're imagining what the AC would be like for summer work-outs.
February 18th, 2015 at 10:41 PM ^
it would be somewhat of a waste of money for FSU to build something that nice for indoor practice when they have such nice weather. Michigan on the other hand pretty much requires it if they don't want to lose practice days to weather.

high school kids using other school's players.
Florida State's heisman trophy winner just went on tape and endorsed Michigan's program, coach, and facilities.
I'm speechless. . .

props to our coach and our facilities.
Not to start anything, but I have some unease about UM prominently featuring Jameis. I suppose everyone is entitled to due process, but boy did he look like a jerk (at a minimum) in college. Looked like one of the sound bites was Harbaugh trying to coach them up on interviews. Jameis can certainly use that help.
February 18th, 2015 at 4:03 PM ^
Jameis sounds fine and well spoken in the video. Amazing what happens when you take out the emotions of just winning a national title and having a mic shoved in your face.
Who would have thought...
February 18th, 2015 at 4:33 PM ^
From watching him on the sidelines during the Clemson game, he seemed like a good teammate and not a cancer.
I'm only half-joking, but maybe the Buccaneers could buy a few strip clubs and pay the women to keep Jameis occupied and out-of-trouble with consenting adults.
Perhaps if he gets into the right environment, he might not cause any more trouble than a Joe Namath or a Jim McMahon?
February 18th, 2015 at 4:39 PM ^
Idk but Jameis certainly may have struck a match on Tinder during the game last night!
February 18th, 2015 at 3:50 PM ^
From Tremendous:
Baylor's Bryce Petty on Harbaugh: "If there's anybody you want to play for as a player, it's a coach like him"
So much win.

With all of this?
Noooooobody.
It may take some time, but I can't wait until Harbaugh gets his players and system in place.
Thanks very much for the reference.

Harbaugh, not Hoke.

No matter what you may think of Winston....THIS IS HUGE for Michigan. All of those incoming recruits could care less (well most at least) or never followed his legal troubles to point of concern. They just know how popular he is, was the heisman trophy winner, had a national championship under his belt and went to the first CFB playoffs.
Could OSU or MSU ever have this happen? Maybe... if they hired a coaching staff with such in depth experience but not with the current staff.
I would love to see Dantonio's sour face over this. This is going to make Meyer start to sweat a bit and lose some sleep if he hasn't already. If Meyer hated going against Saban, he hasn't seen anything yet with Harbaugh.
Michigan just screams championship caliber. Give it 3 years or less---we'll be in the CFB playoff hunt for sure.
February 18th, 2015 at 4:20 PM ^
Slow down buddy. The best recruiting tool is wins. I doubt the reigning National Champion coach is sweating over a couple quotations.
It certainly helps, but if I'm Urban (which I'm not -- my soul is intact), I'm thinking "come at me bro"
February 18th, 2015 at 5:26 PM ^
*Yawn*. Tell me something I don't know Captain Obvious. You're missing my point entirely.
What other program can say we have a coach where other players come to get advice about the combine or NFL?
I know the wins and losses will weigh in heavily although it has been proven that isn't as big as a factor as you'd think given what was said by the recruits we lost when Hoke and staff was fired. My statement stands: We have championship caliber staff and we'll be in the hunt in 3 or less years. I'm not the only one saying it either, a lot of national pundits are saying the same thing.
