Submitted by gater on
I know that there is another thread asking what was said, but I didn't want these videos to get lost in that thread. GREAT...I mean GREAT speech by Brandstatter Loved the speech by RR too. "Revenge is Sweet" and "I May Forgive but I Never Forget"

I love the fact that he is a crier. I am a crier when I give speeches too. It really adds sincerity and impact to an already great speech. I have to say - I love the man, I really do. He is most definitely a Michigan man.

So I have been a frequent mgoblog visitor for about a year now but never felt a reason to become a member until now. Just watching speeches like this make me so proud to be a fan and make me furious with other "fans" who try to divide this fanbase and tear this program down. I've always felt that the true fans come out during times like these, and this great program needs great supporters like us now more than ever. Go Rich, Go Brandy, Go Blue.

Reading this post, along with the comments and watching speeches gave me chills, and makes me proud to be a Michigan fan. I cannot wait for the upcoming season and beyond. You're 100% right, during these times we all need to "hold the rope." The worst is behind us; we are coming out of the darkness! In Rod I Trust! Go Blue!

I hope Michigan Football has a great season this year, not just because I'm a huge Michigan fan, but because I want Rich Rodriguez to be successful at Michigan. This man has had to deal with more negative bullshit in his first 2 years than any other Michigan coach in history. And through it all, he's tried to stay postitive. Rich Rod has given 110% to his team and the University of Michigan. He deserves enough time to reap the rewards of the hard work he's putting in.

He may not be the most well-spoken or smooth speaker, he may have a little bit of an accent, and he may have been on the receiving end of a lot of cheap shots over the past two years, but he's our coach, and he's a Michigan Man to his core now. He knows how to win football games, and he will win them like a Michigan Man.

and I think it is important to point out that Bo did things "differently and his own way" in the Spring of '69. Coach Rod is a good guy. When my newborn daughter was in the intensive care unit, one day an envelope shows up and it is an autographed 8x10 with the phrase "Get Well Soon" on it. Needless to say, I have no idea how that got to my family, but we will treasure it for the rest of our lives. The guy has class but he's his own Michigan Man.

Brandy could have had a mob if he had just said to the crowd that he was going over to Drew Sharp's place and asked for help. But seriously folks, completely huge. How could you NOT want RR to succeed here?

I read the article on DetNews and i got chills but man it was pleasing to see the video. I really hope Coach Rod succedes at Michigan becouse he really deserves it for what he has gone through in these two years and i hope he wins so that him and us can rub it in the haters face.

I wonder how many that call themselves Michigan fans can say they're "holding the rope" for Michigan? I love this coach, and everyone that stands up for him when it's not easy or popular to do so is a true Michigan man.

I'm pretty happy all of you guys had the same reaction I did. RR's speech was unreal, and it really lit a fire under me. I really hope we win 7-9 games this year so he can stay. I love Coach Rod and if we ever let him go I will be disappointed
