Urban Meyer throws more shade at Michigan

Submitted by Decatur Jack on

Just heard a clip of Meyer's voice on the radio where he says "I guess a little rain scared those guys from playing football."

Assuming this is from a press conference this week, if anyone can find the link it would be much appreciated.

But I can’t get worked up about this minor shade coming from Urban and his fellow cooler pooping rednecks in Ohio.

I think the daily evil and depravity we see emerging from the swamps of MSU has made me immune to benign college gamesmanship.

"Close" only counts with grenades and horseshoes...

Meyer doesn't have to throw 'shade' at Michigan - he's 3-0 versus Harbaugh...and hasn't lost to Michigan while at OSU... 6-0?

exactly - meyers a dirtbag of the highest order but hes also a winning machine.  hes lost what, like 7-8 games total at osu?

its a nonsense comment but he typically backs up any talk.  im sure the same people cursing meyer over this would be circle jerking each other if harbaugh had just said something similar

If Michigan had even reasonable luck it would be 3-3.

2013 and Gardner's broken foot 2 point conversion attempt.

2016 game we all know about

2017 game when Barrett when down

You could even throw in the 2012 game with Michigan leading 21-20 at the half and then losing 26-21 and unable to cross the 50 for the whole second half.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than one of the good guys.

This is what I keep reminding myself of. Harbaugh had an incredible project to rebuild this program from the shit it was in for the previous ten years. Meyer walked into a loaded team and dynasty that Tressel purchased. He also had a really good sophomore QB waiting for the right coach to break out his true skills. We saw flashes of Miller as a freshman and even he almost beat Michigan in 2011. Even though Meyer denies he talked to OSU that week about the job, he knew he was going to take it, especially when he was salivating over Miller. Harbaugh got lucky landing Rudock, but even he wasn't good enough to have a GREAT season.

sure, but he already had 2 national championship at Florida and turned a Utah team into a National Championship caliber team in 2 years.

Don't like the man, but Meyer is a great coach.

Harbaugh is entering Year 4...Everyone on the team is a Harbaugh recruit now

regardless of what he inherited, all of the players will be gone by 2019, including his first recruiting class, which was handicapped by his late hiring.

Good god, man. He is the coach of our chief rival. We should expect lame comments like these. I think there are more important things to care about, like the fact that he is 6-0 against Michigan as OSU's coach. He has earned the right to talk a little bit of (expected) smack.

Spin it back on him and say obviously, Meyer doesn't care about player or fan safety. He'd keep up a schedule that called for his team practice in what was predicted to be a significant lightning storm.

the time when Izzo could still throw shade at M - and there was a sting to it?

Well Urban is playing the same bitch Izzo used to, and as M walks out Jim’s tenure to fruition - I expect that he’ll start throat punching opposing players just like Woody.

He has the right to say whatever the hell he wants. I love the fact that he loves to stir the rivalry and you earn that when you win. Here’s hoping to shutting his mouth up this thanksgiving!

Didn't OSU reschedule the time of their spring game specifically to avoid the weather? Wow, sounds like a little rain scared them away from holding their spring game at its normal time.
