Urban Meyer finalizing deal with Fox Sports
Urban Meyer is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Fox Sports to Be the networks "star college football analyst." Those health reasons must be subsiding.

Imagine how the conversation would go if he interviewed Brady Hoke.
Q: "Why do you keep saying 'Ohio'?"
A: "Why won't you say 'Michigan'?"

He did the exact same thing at Florida. He left because of medical reasons and signed with ESPN within several months. Wow! He heals fast. What a joke.

Being a TV analyst is a little different than being a head coach at a major program. TV gig is probably a total of 10-20 hours a week for prep, and it's 3 months long. HC's are working 100 hour weeks.

So where did Hugh Freeze fit on the TV analyst-head coach hours of work continuum?

His health situation is indeed interesting. Everyone sees through the smokescreen, whether or not people support him has more to do with OSU fandom than anything. Oh and have I not mentioned before that OSU is SEC North? No problem for him to get a gig on ESPN.

We ALL get it. I dont know why some of us fight with our emotions on this topic. This timeline is still per the course we thought would be set even before the season started. We all know too well that before the season ends for the the Fall of '19, he will be signing a deal somewhere.

Spewing garbage from his mouth is therapy for the headaches ?
January 17th, 2019 at 7:52 PM ^
Oh good so he’ll be coaching again next year, perfect.
January 17th, 2019 at 8:11 PM ^
BUT HE WAS TERRIBLE AT IT. I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!

Did you happen to invent to piano key neck tie?
January 17th, 2019 at 8:14 PM ^
Having listen to him during his last "retirement". He is NOT good as an analyst. Honestly, Harbaugh wouldn't be good either. Both guys are not exactly made for T.V personalities.
January 17th, 2019 at 10:38 PM ^
i'm glad i go to games and tailgate most saturdays so i don't have to watch that asshat.
January 17th, 2019 at 8:18 PM ^
How do you fit that placard on a desk? "U. Meyer, Associate Athletic Director, Fox Sports Analyst, Generally Awful Person"? How do you get that all on there?
February 1st, 2019 at 9:24 AM ^
You forgot "7-0 against Michigan".
January 17th, 2019 at 8:19 PM ^
Cool. Urban can choke on a bag of dicks.

January 17th, 2019 at 8:30 PM ^
He must think Erin Andrews is still a coed.
January 17th, 2019 at 8:32 PM ^
I’d rather have Skip and Shannon do the game than Urban.
January 17th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
He needs the short escape hatch from OSU to USC for 2020 ...
January 17th, 2019 at 8:42 PM ^
How is this not a massive conflict of interest? He can’t be an unbiased college football analyst while simultaneously being an associate AD at OSU.
January 17th, 2019 at 8:48 PM ^
The LA times guy was right.
This doesn't pass the smell test. This is a bizarre exit to say the least.
I'm expecting some stories to come out in the future.

Future NCAA sanctions on OSU football? Yes please!
January 17th, 2019 at 8:51 PM ^
I don't understand how he can work for the AD at OSU and this at the same time. That has to be against some kind of rule doesn't it?
January 17th, 2019 at 8:52 PM ^
Be fair. Life as a television personality on Fox has to be a thousand time less stressful than trying to keep Zach Smith out of jail for a living.
January 17th, 2019 at 8:57 PM ^
This is his soft spot before his next head coaching gig. Brain cysts are self healing as we all know,
January 17th, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
Just a short step away from being a commentator on the BTN football shows, completing the OSU infiltration of BTN leadership.
January 17th, 2019 at 9:16 PM ^
Fuck Urban Meyer.
January 17th, 2019 at 9:21 PM ^
Double dealing [delete by self] f-ing biggest dirt bag in the history of all-time pathetical liars.
How can anyone hire this guy for anything other than the ganitor position in a prison ... or the assistant AD position at OSU ?
January 18th, 2019 at 2:07 AM ^
That's an insult to janitors dude.
January 18th, 2019 at 8:09 AM ^
Hey man, what's your beef with janitors?
January 17th, 2019 at 9:45 PM ^
he is staying in spotlight, and will take another job in a year or two, notably in warm weather...maybe USC... FSU.... LSU, Bama, etc
January 17th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
BIG NUA would kick his ASS!!
January 17th, 2019 at 10:20 PM ^
Will he be grabbing his head on tv - like he was doing against Purdue, Maryland etc?
January 18th, 2019 at 12:25 AM ^
I called it, I knew we were going to see his chinless ferret face on tv this fall or next. The networks love upstanding individuals like Craig James, Lou Holtz, Terry Bowdon and one day Nick the Dick Saban. They would have Mork if anyone knew who the hell he was.
January 18th, 2019 at 12:28 AM ^
I don’t care what he does as long as he isn’t the OSU head coach. We have a fighting chance to win now. Hopefully our long national nightmare will be over this fall.
January 18th, 2019 at 1:12 AM ^
Fuck fox sports
January 18th, 2019 at 2:05 AM ^
They needed a fluffer.
January 18th, 2019 at 5:43 AM ^
Urban Meyer is a POS ......................
January 18th, 2019 at 9:47 AM ^
Bring back Keith Jackson and Bob Griese! I cannot think of others who are better spokespeople for college sports. (Too bad they want to be retired)
January 18th, 2019 at 8:41 PM ^
shouldn't this be a /s ? I mean... you know Keith Jackson passed right last January
January 18th, 2019 at 3:34 PM ^
Can't wait to see Harbs tell him to get the F out of Ann Arbor
January 18th, 2019 at 8:40 PM ^
Am I the only person on here who doesn't care what he does? I know people won't care much for this but my cousin has the exact same thing he has and it's pretty painful. Secondly how would commentating on sports add stress? My cousin was VP of a company and was asked to do two VP's jobs and damned near died from the stress, he took so much advil his damn kidneys failed and was in the hospital for two months. He ultimately got let go a month after getting back to work because he was "set up" by the new management to fail..anyway when he lost his job within a few weeks his headaches weren't happening anymore because there was no more stress. I don't care for the man but I won't belittle a man, any man, for health issues. we are better than that.
