UPDATE: Drake Harris did not tear hamstring

I sincerely apologize for the scare guys.

Drake Harris did not tear his hamstring. A poster on rivals who is usually reliable, assumed it was torn but the mods are saying he just tweaked it and could be out for the rest of spring practice.

As if Harris were going to see the field much (if at all) this year as an underclassmen who's spend his career so far recovering from injury rather than practicing or training.  And to imply that the whole season is somehow dependent on a player who might be our 5th or 7th receiver? Get a grip man.

I pulled both hamstrings at the same time playing backyard football after college.  I didn't do any fancy rehab or anything, but after pulling/tearing them once, they would both occassionally get pulled pretty bad to where I would limp for a week afterwards each time.  This lasted 4-5 years. I eventually stopped doing any start/go type running.  I imagine start/go type running is important to running routes.  I feel for the kid.

Man, best of luck in recovery Drake. We're pulling for you. So many things in life aren't fair.

He's been more or less shut down since his high school senior season. One hamstring back then, another last year, and now this. I feel terrible for the kid. Hope the medical staff and trainers can figure out what the hell is going one and keep this from happening again.

Man, do we seem cursed lately.  Even when we score a nice recruiting win over Sparty, the kid can't stay healthy.  I know we have Harbaugh and all, but he still will need talented players and Drake may have been the best pure talent at WR.  Combine that with the center and QB woes and it might be another scary year on offense.
