Unpopular Opinions NEGBANG

Submitted by 5th Van Tyne on

We've been missing a good ol' negbang for far too long. I want to hear your hottest takes on why you're afraid for this upcoming season or why you may despise delicious Chick Fil A sandwiches (if that's even possible).

I'll start by saying that Onwenu's weight worries me to no end. IIRC he was supposed to drop a bunch of weight before spring ball, but that never really materialized.

I don't want any of this to be true but...

Our OL will be subpar(at best) again this season. We will still have a mediocre run game and our receiving corps are just too young. I see Michigan winning 8 games. Also, losing to OSU yet again.

I'm going tinned now. Fml.

mind you I saw him on the elevator at The BBQ. What you have to worry about is the freshman D-line -- someone has an odor problem --and I'm a day late for the Friday drinking thread.

Meat is disgusting. I haven't eaten it in over 8 years. You don't need animal protein. Doctors don't do anything. If people find the cure for cancer it's not like the pharma companies are just going to give it away to people. It's more likely they will make the cure so expensive you have to choose between spending all of your money on the cure or dying.

Watching the Osu btn preview and heard Urban talk about how good his young corners are. Got me thinking, Osu freshman corners, (okudah and sheffield) vs our young wrs (black and DPJ). Who's got the advantage??

1. Ohio State is good. It infuriates me to say it, but they have a well oiled machine going on where they rarely have an off year. It's time we just admit it that they are good. I didn't say unbeatable, but they are a good team and have a good process.

2. Michigan hasn't had a dominate offensive line in years. Why? There has to be a point where blame goes on the coaches and players.

3. Fan base requests for a QB other than Speight this season. What is it that any other guy showed that makes one question Speight?

4. Apologetic fans who come on this board and are not outraged by the blatant officiating issues that have occurred in the past couple seasons. I don't come here for rational debate on officiating. Stop supporting the corrupt Big Ten officials, especially that phantom first down in double overtime against that team from Columbus.

5. RichRod supporters. We tried it, it failed, shut your mouthes.

6. Fans who want to re-hire Brady Hoke at some point in the future as a "position coach" (Read the previous gripe for reasoning)

7. Constant complaining about the apparel options. There are tons of styles, some you'll like, others you'll hate, move on. Similar point, people who hate the Jumpman logo on football jerseys. Stop caring so much, they could put a middle finger on the jerseys and I wouldn't care as long as Michigan won.

It feels like festivus- I aired my grievances and now for the feats of strength.

There are too many people with too many tattoos. Too many kids are born out of wedlock. Get off my lawn.

So has bread, you certainly don't have western civilization without that either.

But now we absolutely know, beyond all doubt that it is hardly nutritious. And probably best if consumed as sparingly as possible; and certainly never as a staple.

I was about to write how historical chauvinism and america's current naive literalization of "great-man" history (not to mention no one reads anymore anways) is the actua cause of it's intellectual malaise/decline/stagnation.

It's not even a question of real or not.

The real question is, how/will the human race/nations deal with the minimal/maximal fallout.

Could be small-ish (though the history of evolution/geology is relatively calm periods punctuated by chaos and mass extinction events: puncuated equilibrium), could change our planet (hence why Musk wants to ensure survival--as is the feeling of a lot of the UMich Aerospace Engineering Department Professors: "we've got to find a way to get off this planet in case of emergency).

Super trippy when you hear some of the smartest people on the planet say that in a completely serious tone.
