Univ. of Michigan Day at Detroit City Football Club on June 28. Support a UM Scholarship and see a great game.

Just wanted to throw up a reminder for UM/Detroit area soccer fans that Detroit City Football Club is sponsoring a University of Michigan Day for their June 28th game against Lansing United. Kickoff is 5:30pm.  Tickets are only $13 and if you buy through this website they'll donate $5 back to a UM scholarship for Michigan students who have cancer or who have direct family members who have it and treatment has created financial need.  Here's the link:

DCFC has five current Michigan soccer players including senion William Mellors-Blair who the DCFC fan base has dubbed Flash after tearing up the early season including two breakaway goals this past Saturday against the team from Madison, Wisconsin.

Their games usually sell out the week of the game and they've been drawing 3,500 the last few games which sport a pretty insane fanbase. If you really want the full experience, head to Harry's Bar before you walk over to Cass Tech HS for the game. You can get a feel for what its like here:
