UNC Football moving to Jordan brand

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Saw this pop up on Twitter. So much for being the only school with Jordan Football. Rumblings were happening all season about them whining about not being Jordan. This photo shows Jumpman logos on the 25 yard lines at their Football stadium.

edit: picture was fake but it's confirmed.

This was very predictable.  Why would Michael Jordan not outfit his alma mater in his brand?  I hope the Jordan club remains somewhat exclusive, though.

Those giant Jumpman logos (are they real?) are tacky.  I don't want us to do that.

I've never minded having the logo of Jordan dunking on our merchandise, since it's usually small and unobtrusive, but seeing two large logos of Jordan dunking on the football field is kind of funny and out of place, at least to me.

Michigan opened the door and had MJ at the first game last season, that is all we can ask for, there will be a few other Jordan schools with monetary deals as good or better, the sports biz world keeps on turning.

As others have pointed out, this was very predictable. When people were telling me that it was weird to have Jumpman on a football uniform I told them to wait a couple years. Jordan is making a push into football. More schools will follow and it will be very normal to see the logo along football stuff.
