UM softball commit Meghan Beaubien tosses second-straight perfect game to lead her team to D3 title
Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central junior pitcher Meghan Beaubien threw her second-consecutive perfect game to lead her team to a 6-0 win over Grandville Calvin Christian in the MHSAA D3 title game Saturday.
Beaubien, Gatorade's Michigan Softball Player Of the Year, threw the second perfect game in MHSAA Finals History. Beaubien committed to UM during the winter of her freshman year:

Mentioned it in the other thread.
She's the #2 ranked pitcher nationally and the #5 player overall by Flo.
The 2017 class consists of nothing but top-60 national players.
They're not going to be here until 2018.
The 2017 class just signs in the year 2017. Their first season is the 2017-18 athletic calendar year.
How's the 2016 class looking then?
Great.
Madison Uden is a top-70 nationally ranked player. Abby Skvarce is a great catcher that has a rocket for an arm.
Uden will be taking the spot Romero was at in the middle.
Small class, but that's what it's replacing. The Sierras were the only ones originally on scholarship in that 2012 class. Susalla eventually earned one and earned a starting spot by her great play.
We've got two preferred walk on-types coming in with Uden and Skvarce. Haley Hoogenraad (OF) and Thais Gonzalez (2B).
Awesome, hopefully we don't skip a beat. Thanks for the info WD.
I hate to admit that the only reason I know who she is right now is that both of her parents and I work for the same company, and for a while, her mom and I had offices about 20 feet from each other. Small world indeed.
Still good news that we should hopefully be regulars at the Softball World Series for some time to come.

Catcher is the main concern.

Agree with your comment on Crockett and Blanco. Hopefully at least one of the two can become a solid #2 behind Betsa. Will be interesting to see how the rotation develops next season.
With Wagner and Driesenga having injuries in recent seasons, it shows how important pitching depth is.
Is right there on your doorstep in Monroe, no need to go all the way to Cali and beg them to come to Ann Arbor.
Suck on that Johnny Vandemeer!!
