The initial report was the his mom was very concerned about all the OL that we have been getting, but Jordan wasn't too concerned.

It seems like his mom is very involved with his recruiting and might have expressed her concerns about the depth chart to a point where it started to affect Jordan as well.

There was some mention of playing time worries. Having said that, (1) we really don't know that he's cooled and (2) I'm sure that someone from the Michigan staff will mention that a couple of the recruits listed as OTs will likely end up inside in college. Probably a little less competition than he realizes.

I could be wrong, but it sounded like Michigan was a little late to the party with Bisnowaty anyway.  I never heard his name mentioned prominently on this board until relatively recently.  I just assumed we had been concentrating on other guys.  Anyway, I'd be VERY happy with either Garnett, Banner, or Diamond.

I am one of Ace's trusted sources. You can believe it.

Edit: I feel kind of sheepish now. I posted this before reading the news on the front page. I assumed you were referring to Ace Williams, but were you, in fact, referring to our new recruiting guru?

And maybe a meta is in store. How do we differentiate between tongue-in-cheek jabs at Ace Williams and legitimate pleas for help from the real Ace? I feel kind of lost now...

I'm hoping the entire MGoCommunity comes around to the fact that Ace Williams info is not to be trusted and just stops bringing it over.

Any mention of Ace on the blog should be regarding the real Ace.

Not looking good...is good for us. We can't be taking any more 3*'s (scout), we're too good for that. Competing with Texas for the top recruiting class, and those SEC schools. We only go 4 stars and up (I am glad we can finally say that after 3 years). Either Hello: Garnett, Diamond, or Banner. The last 4 spots should go for highly touted recruits, that are top 20 in the position.

Higher star rankings are nice, but I don't really care all that much. If our coaches thought the guy was good enough to warrant an offer, then he must be good and I'm disappointed that it seems like we've faded for his services; thankfully, there are still 3 other players at the same position who were also deemed worthy of an offer, and it seems we have pretty good chances to land at least one of them.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. It sounds like Michigan isn't putting a ton of pressure on Adam at the moment- and I think they were recruiting him a bit harder before.

Now, does that mean they feel better about other prospects at this point? I don't know. We'll see what happens.

We'll finish the class out with one more top flight OL, Bisnowaty never was really exciting to me. Either Garnett or Banner would be great gets.

In an effort to focus solely on the few remaining elite recruits, it's probably in the coaching staffs best interest to minimize (publicly) their interest in recruits outside of the top elite insofar as those recruits are at the same position. This shows the elite recruits that we are 100% serious about them.
