Nothing earth shattering, but seems rather informative.  FWIW, they're up to No. 39 in the rankings and haven't gotten to Michigan yet.

GAME(S) TO WATCH

Michigan should be on upset alert – if it can be called an upset – when the Huskies come to Ann Arbor on the season’s first weekend. That game is a toss-up, as is a road date with Temple, but UConn should enter Big East holding a 4-1 mark. The first game of the conference season, at Rutgers on Oct. 8, will provide UConn with a major road test.

Putting Temple on the same level as M. May RR and Co. crush them.

If my sarcasm detector is on the fritz, i apologize, but I assumed people would figure that out by my statement.  The only reason I threw it in was that being ranked 38 or better seems rather bullish as compared to rankings of other national media sources I've seen.

They say Michigan should be on upset alert but note (1) the dream season is 10-2 with a loss to Michigan and (2) they expect to lose to WVU because "When it comes to West Virginia… well, the Mountaineers always beat the Huskies, who struggle mightily defending W.V.U.’s mobile quarterback play and wide-open rushing attack." If there is only some way RR can mimic the offense that WVU crushes them with on a yearly basis....

Yeah, it was a little confusing.  I just figured that WVU and Pitt would be traveling to UConn and thus wouldn't be much of an upset.  We get UConn at home, in the first game of the season, equals a potential upset.

Overall, I get the feeling that he thinks Michigan will win that game, even if others are calling for a UConn victory based on the past two seasons.

I'm as confused as the rest of you. One minute they say UConn will likely be favored, yet in their ranking they have UConn at #39 and Michigan hasn't been mentioned yet in the countdown.

I mean, really -- does Temple even have a football team?  How many people really knew that they had a team before this crack publication put it on par with UM's program?

he gives a hint when he answers a poster asking if Michigan will in fact be better than Spart-O:

"Paul: Thanks for the link. Adding it now. As for Michigan, I am expecting a revival of sorts for the Wolverines in 2010."

This guy looks to be higher on Michigan than most so far - if he has them up in the 20's and UCONN at #39, from the perspective of his rankings it would be an upset.  No explanation for the Temple thing, however.

Didn't want to start a new thread for a simple question: where did Matt Hinton go to school? Looks like he has ties to Austin but didn't know if he actually went to school there....
