I can't think of anything clever to say because my mind was irreparably blown

Dern rocket-propelled polar bears slap shotting the satellite!
October 1st, 2009 at 3:12 PM ^
That is all. Although he did appear to drop his intergalactic hockey stick in the ruins of Anchorage.

I can see how that might hype up the polar bear's in the midst of a global revolution against the human race....but other than a stick and crushing an arena what is this going to do for hockey? Maybe I'm just an idiot but....I don't think this fits.

I don't know what's better, the video or the sweet comments by youtube viewers. My 10 year old son will probably pee his pants when he sees this.

This video was the funniest thing I have seen on the internet in at least a week. I mean, that was just incredible. The thing is you KNOW the people at UAF were SUPER PUMPED when the engineer/consultant/student who came up with this video first showed it to them. Oh my god. I just laughed out loud for a good minute in my office.

It could only have been better if Zoltan was riding the bear.
October 1st, 2009 at 8:07 PM ^
Zoltan punted the bear, and was not "denard" enough to get on the Bear. The video should give Zoltan the proper credits though.

For some reason I get the strange urge to "air guitar" while I watch this.
October 1st, 2009 at 4:06 PM ^
I can't stop waching it....
This guy should get an OSCAR.
October 1st, 2009 at 4:05 PM ^
This is probably the best intro for any team in history...no the best video period.
October 1st, 2009 at 4:23 PM ^
The greatest part is when the bear is like 2x the size of the arena and somehow seems to find a way to shrink itself with some kind of supernove power.
October 1st, 2009 at 4:39 PM ^
I hope the team isn't as good as the video. If it is, everyone else is playing for second place this year.

Space bear, bitches!
October 1st, 2009 at 5:28 PM ^
To quote Dr Egon Spengler, "Sorry, Venkman, I'm terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought"
To fit in the song from the Chicago Bulls intro, some Kenny Loggins, and Metallica in the same video is truly a masterpiece. And I'm sorry but did the marauding space bear go warp out of his ass?
Wow.

Stupid video reduced my iPhone to smoldering rubble.
October 1st, 2009 at 6:28 PM ^
Yeah, well, the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant compared to... wait, no, this was awesome.
October 1st, 2009 at 6:34 PM ^
All hail the glorious reign of HockeyBear!
(I wonder if he's related to CrankThatDonovan?)
October 1st, 2009 at 9:33 PM ^
Thank you, thank you, a million times thank you. I once was blind, but now I see. Kenny Loggins, Polar Bear, Satellite Slapshot Explosion, Metallica.
October 1st, 2009 at 9:50 PM ^
That bear just wrecked Anchorage. So that leaves, what, 40 people in Alaska? And one monstrous, intergalactic, rocket shitting polar bear.
October 1st, 2009 at 10:01 PM ^
But what really gets me is that sure; here's this gigantic, super-powered, intergalactically ferocious space bear.
Dude's a celebrity.
Probably has a lot on his plate, gotta be strapped for time what with his species going extinct and all.
Does he endorse a line of shoes, or a sugared-up sports drink?
No, HE GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY by supporting a small collegiate hockey team.
Space Bear. "Gunna rain down some rage-fueled ursine fire!"
