You stand up for your goalie. Don't let anyone touch your netminder, that's a good penalty. If the refs won't stop them from taking shots at Hunwick make damn sure our players will.

they sweep Notre Dame and advance to Joe Louis Arena for the 24th(!) straight season!!!!

Michigan will face Western Michigan or Bowling Green depending on the winner of tomorrows game 3 between BG and FSU

They always always help out the other team. I always feel like their MO is "When in doubt, penalize Michigan". Run into Hunwick? No penalty. Michigan lays a good hit? Penalty on Michigan

I was a student who graduated last spring...and I have to say it was an absolute privilege to watch him play...I will miss him at Yost next season, hopefully he can crown his career with a National Championship

Yeah, that takes some of the sting out of today, indeed.

Home for the tourney, Domers! Hope Sparty has to find a seat on the couch next to you.

A lot of games still to be played right now, but as of the moment we are 2nd in the PWR. Miami and Ferris tied for 3rd. Harvard-Yale headed to 2nd OT. (mfan says we're rooting for Harvard.) UMD tied in 3rd, Minnesota up 3 in 3rd.

SEASONS OVER BITCH!

So proud of Michigan. Great performance tonight and a great way to send these seniors out. Ending a rival's season.

They have a great chance to win the CCHA Playoffs. That would be unreal to play bowling green in the CCHA Semifinals and take over the #1 seed in the Playoffs.

That would be the best thing. Michigan vs bowling green and have miami and western tire eachother out.

GO BLUE!

Jeff Jackson is widely regarded as an awesome coach and has the track record to prove it.  They're getting some big time talent now, because of his name and the Notre Dame brand, they just got a brand new rink, they've been to the Frozen Four 2 of the last 5 years as relatively low seeds, when not much was expected of them going in to the season, but they end up killing it.  Two of their other seasons result in high expectations and no tournament at all (probably this year, there might be some near-impossibl scenario that still gets them in, I guess) and the other year they're a #1 NCAA seed and lose to Bemidji State, by a lot, if I recall correctly in Grand Rapids, which is like a home game for them.  So does this mean that next year Notre Dame is going to the Frozen Four again, or what?

The University of Michigan ice hockey team (No. 4 USCHO, No. 5 USA Today/USA Hockey) will be going to Joe Louis Arena for the CCHA semifinal round for 24th consecutive year after defeating Notre Dame (No. 17 USCHO/NR USA Today/USA Hockey), 3-1, on Saturday night (March 10) to clinch the best-of-three CCHA quarterfinal series at Yost Ice Arena.
