This is getting big dicked by osu. He was a plan b kid to them compared to a plan a for us. He waited, spot opened up at osu and now he’s going to go there. Same thing is likely happening with Otis Reese and Georgia and jarret Patterson is at best a 50/50 shot. This year was just a pathetic effort by this staff

and that is why we brought in different SDE's around signing day?

SDE is a position of strength for Michigan, which Friday appears to be recruited at for Ohio State, so the loss of Friday isn't huge, but the lack of an interior DL recruit for this class is

Seriously. And I'm not a Michigan fan either. I follow recruting very closely, especially in the Northeast region and I'm a huge fan of another B1G team. I've been quite familiar with him for about the last year or so, but from what I've seen in his highlight tapes, he looks small, he's unexplosive, he isn't very fast, and he tends to get blocked easily by high school players. Maybe his testing numbers are great, and maybe his film isn't that impressive becuase he always plays two-ways, but from what I've seen, he's not very special, and he's nowhere near his recruiting ranking. Just being honest. And again, I'm not a Wolverine whatsoever.

Welcome to MGoBlog. That's an interesting take. I couldn't find much video of him on 247 or Hudl - no senior highlights. It seems that maybe Friday wanted to go to OSU all along but he was a 'Plan B' and they didn't have room for him. Interesting that a composite Top 100 DL wouldn't be a take no matter how good their class is. Urban probably told him that if he would wait until February then maybe a spot would open up which looks like has happened. If he's looking to play SDE and not DT then I think we are much better off with Hutchinson. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a good plan B on the board for DT.
