Tuesday Night CFP Rankings "what'cha drinking thread"

Submitted by trueblue262 on

NEVER too early to discuss what you are drinking, and a reminder in case you

FORGET to watch the rankings come out tonight.

I will be watching with a 6 pack of Imperial Soft Parade by

Idk what I'm drinking yet but I know it will be BITTER. Remember everyone to donyour part spreading awareness of the travesty that happened this past Saturday. The playoff committee knows Michigan is a top 4 team and only needs a reason to put them in. Let's help sway public opinion and give the committee the option to include Michigan !

We can't post about officiating in the biggest game in 10 years anymore but we have our 3rd CFB rankings thread (with another thread still on the main page) this one about "what are you drinking" when going in we have almost zero realistic shot to make the playoff.

Sounds about right.

Imperial Soft Parade, eh?  Interesting.  I didn't like the "regular" SP, I bet the Imp is better.

Speaking of Shorts, I will be consuming a Stache Bender and probably a Sierra Nevada Celebration - if we're #4 or #5, perhaps a 3rd and maybe an Aww Jeah.  The Hoppy Holiday pack from Shorts is great.  Although that Batch 5000 is literally impossible to drink.

As a huge fan of Soft Parade and one who tries to keep a healthy stock of it at home, may I ask about the Imperial SP? Never heard of it and I'm very intrigued.

Anyone know when Good Human comes out? Might be my all time fav

Ocean Spray Cran-Grape because I am actually still sitting at my desk at work.

Granted, not for much longer, but the presence of a drinking thread now had me momentarily thinking, "Fuck, was I buried in paperwork THAT long?"

I suppose I will pour a rum and watch the rankings show later, of course.

that quality posts questioning officiating with links and videos are being deleted.

WTF?  This is something on everyone's mind, but because Brian doesn't "feel" like discussing it, we should all bury our heads in the sand?  Totally fucked up.

I'll put my own view as a site mod here - very few of them were in fact removed up until the point Brian put an official end to them with the thread last night. The things I look for personally are things like "Could this discussion fit into another thread?" or "Is there so much about this on the board now that other things are being drowned out?", just to state a couple informal criteria. In some cases, that's what it came down to when I was going through them.

If it were up to me (it isn't), I might not have called for an end to them, but they would have been heavily monitored only because you really can only dissect it so much before you are being redundant or you aren't adding to the already good discussions going. I think the disagreement among bloggers here is where that line is precisely.

this one. Once that thread is off the first page the conversation dies. Many people don't look at the recent post tab to see if there's anything new.

With that being the case, when new information is provided, ecspecially when it's well put together with video evidence, it deserves to stay and be discussed.

I understand wanting to combine threads but new information gets lost. I hope this decision is reevaluated. There are a lot of people unhappy and yes we can take out keyboards and go home if we don't like it. It's because of the quality of the information we stay. Currently the information is being deleted so we can have drinking threads.
