Tuesday Morning Dumps
Tuesday morning after a loss may well be the worst time for a college football fan. The loss still stings just as bad, but the hopeful, resolute feeling from Monday has gone by the wayside. There is little left but to force yourself to evaluate the previous performance, and still 5 days before you have a chance to prove the previous game an anomaly rather than the growing norm.
Who's got good M news to banish the doldrums?

nah, I waited until she left for work until I took morning my usual morning BM. Hopefully the stink will be gone by the time she gets back.

I didn't get to see the game because of family stuff, so I just started to watch my Tivo version. Still in the first quarter. The interception wasn't so bad, and the D looks pretty good in MSU's first possession.
I think we might just pull this thing out afterall.

But lord, good news? There's too much to list. Randomly, then:
<br>Jibreel Black is a baller. Hulk Smash is unhurt. Everyone will forget about us for a little while, allowing a young team to ease into its place as a challenger. Our inexperienced DBs have more experience today than the last time you took a Tuesday Dump. More 4 man fronts, which make me feel better even if they shouldn't. And don't worry, the offense is getting better even as we speak: if you listen closely, you can hear them.

I love your optimism! I agree Black is a baller and will be a stud during his career here. I also love your take on the DBs, they have much more experience than last Tuesday.

depressing, the season is half over.
On the other hand, even after a loss I cannot wait to see this offense and Denard vs Iowa. I wish I could fast forward through the defense like I do on my DVR.

Will Hagerup seems to be ironing things out. I thought he punted very, very well (47 yd avg.?). Also, we made one FG...short, yes i know and yes I know we had a block FG too but still.

I woke up last night, sat up in bed, and in a dazed fashion said "Finally." My wife asked me what was wrong to which I replied, "2 more Hello Posts." Layed back down and off to sleep again.
This morning she asked what that was all about which reminded me of the wierd dream/instance. I got on the board certain there would be 2 Hello posts. Yeah.... Tuseday Morning Dumps instead.

On Tuesdays after losses I try to focus on the other things to be stoked about, whatever the Michigan connection, rather than that one thing burning a hole in my consciousness. So last night, the San Francisco Giants advanced to the NLCS for the first time since 2002. This city hasn't been this amped since the U.S. World Cup games. Bars were packed, car horns were honked. I went to Game 1, and will probably go to all three games of the Philly series that are played here.
