chance that he comes to Michigan- as a current CMU student, it looks like he will stay home right and town and play for Dad; try and win the MAC tourney and get to the tournament- that's the goal. I believe that he would make a hellova scoring option to go along with Manny- Zeigler can run the point- at 6'5- he's quick as hell- I've been to a few games. He would be a great recruit for either school- let's hope he doesn't call EL home come August.

The guys over at Rivals have been saying for a few weeks that people within the program are "confident" about Zeigler. So saying there's "no chance" is probably premature or just flat-out wrong.

The mods at Rivals would strongly disagree. Edit: Magnus already mentioned it. Damn you.

that there's no chance he goes anywhere BUT michigan?* *I made this up, but I have heard of Trey Ziegler and know that he lives in Michigan and plays basketball pretty well.

Basically you're saying that absolutely nothing has changed in the recruitment of Trey Zeigler. He's still considering the same five schools he's been considering the last several months. It is kind of frustrating that he's keeping his recruitment so close to the vest. I wish he'd at least narrow it down, now, that it's so close to the end, to at least 2 or 3 schools.

That I am not Trey Zeigler, nor do I play him on TV. Although I'd like to play as him on NCAA 11. But of course he'd have to come here for that to ever happen. Not too many people truly know what he's going to do and maybe he doesn't even know yet. Let the kid decide. Sure playing for family could be great, but realistically he'll never be what he could there. I hope he makes the choice I want him to. But good luck to him anyway.

was up in Mount Pleasant the day after Michigan was eliminated by that team we will not speak of in Ohio- to watch Zeigler practice. I have yet to see Trey sport any kind of Michigan gear yet; he has been seen wearing Duke gear to his classes and whatnot; Coach K was up here about a month ago to see Trey practice as well. I said earlier that Michigan has no chance in landing him. Let me retract that; they have a 20% chance as of today. The only thing that will help UofM land him is if he gets to start right away; he would at UM, CMU, but maybe not at UCLA, MSU, or Duke- that early playing time factor could be huge.

Duke just signed a JUCO player who is a 6'6" wing, playing a similar position to Zeigler (although Zeigler is probably more of a 2/3 and the Duke commit is more of a traditional 3). I think that commitment tightens up their scholly situation a fair bit. I know Duke likes to have versatile players like Zeigler, but I think adding Zeigler would make the class too big. He's good, but he clearly wasn't Duke's top priority. If he leaves the state, I think it's much more likely that he goes to UCLA than Duke.
