If true, this is a solid pickup for the basketball team.  Burke is a good ball handler and can provide scoring from the point guard position if Morris doesn't find his shot this year.  You can't cheat away from Burke like teams have been doing with Morris.  He is a top 150 type player who may move higher depending on his play this year.  I don't believe he was the top option on his team last year so if he thrives in the feature role, he could rise in the rankings.

to think I am a sparty. Hahaha. You good.

However, I am not a sparty, since I care very little for Mich State. The only kind of wkr I will do with Mich State, is to be hired on as an "image" consultant, since the bulk of the head coaching job there has to do with keeping players out of prison and off the streets.

Dantoni has a very difficult job in this alone!

He played on the same high school team as Jared Sullinger and was overshadowed a bit (his team was one of the top hs teams in the country and was on ESPN a bunch). May I ask where you got this info? None of the sites are reporting it, and the consensus seemed to be that we would finish second to Cinci, who has been recruiting him for a lot longer.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw this on Rivals. Go Blue!

...UMHoops.com analysis.

Burke is considered a scoring point guard by man but he posted strong all around numbers in his junior year at Northland HS: 14.5 points, 7.5 assists, and 3 steals per game while shooting 49% (40-82) from three point range (MaxPreps stats). It’s worth noting that Burke played for a loaded high school team that featured 2010 Ohio State commits Jared Sullinger and JD Weatherspoon.

Burke drew rave reviews multiple times on the AAU circuit this summer as well including a 39 point performance against Carlton Brundidge (who notched 41 of his own).

Joe and I saw him play earlier this spring at the King James Classic in Akron and while we weren’t necessarily focusing on him at the time (he was still committed to Penn State) it was clear that he could play. Burke isn’t overwhelming physically at 6-foot but he can shoot the ball and get to the rack. The Talor Battle comparison was a cliché cop-out at the time because he was headed to PSU, but it’s obvious why Penn State prioritized him.

Much more there including scouting services evals and lots of video.

Obviously great to have a top 150 guy after all of the swings and misses, but it seems strange that they focused on him in the same class as Brundidge. Beilein seems to like tall guards, but this is two on the shorter end in the same class.

That being said, if he's a play maker who can create on his own, sign him up and adjust to his abilities.

This is really awesome to hear! My brother and sister went to Northland and sadly their football program hasn't been great as of last but some good names are leaving there and going to good schools to play ball and it's awesome to hear UM is getting one of their players! I'm excited to see him in Ann Arbor! Go Vikes!
