Trey Burke has been suspended by John Beilein forthe Northern Michigan game for a violation of team standards.

Beilein: "Trey will sit out the first game as a result of some 'out of character' decisions he now regrets."

Beilein: "We believe (Burke) has learned a valuable lesson and we are confident he will grow from this experience."

I would expect that puts a damper on Burke's potential selection as a team captain.

Just means we'll win by a few less points. This is Northern Michigan we're talking about. There are high school teams that could probably beat them. If this were TSIO or msu I'd be concerned.

I remember last year in the first game of they year the coach made him sit out the first 10 minutes or so because he missed a team meeting and it turned out to be a pretty successful year so I think he'll be alright

...the inevitable full-court Wildcat (NMU version) press?   Welcome to the big-time, Spike.

I will also sell my soul to a Columbus, OH heathen if you Wally Pipp Trey Burke.

Buddy, look at the preseason polls... #5 in most polls which means high expectations for many Michigan fans including me. Its not time to screw up like Honey Badger did. Its time to live up to the hype and be a leader on the team, not some stuck up prick that will only bring down the team. Come on, Trey.
