Trey Burke scored 11 points in 12 minutes tonight

5-8 FG, so his summer league shooting slump didn't carry over.  Sounds like he did most of work in minutes that weren't that important, but the quick recap ESPN did tonight mentioned that he looked aggressive on both ends of the floor.

Commence snarky comments about "do we really need a post every time ..." -- Good post. Good game Trey. Keep em going. Just re-watched UM-KU to get primed for Puerto Rico.

It is a shame that Trey's contribution was not part of a win last night, but it is great to hear that he now has the first game of hopefully many, many more in the books. I wonder if Trey Burke might end up being one of the most watched players in the history of this board in his post-Wolverine years.

I don't care when people up vote their own thread, but I do think it is lame that a thread was posted that simply noted Trey's stats. Are we going to get a thread every time the guy plays a game? Let's just call it "Trey Burke: open thread."

This was his pro debut. But yes, stats from every game here on out, and specifically just to annoy you. It's fun sometimes to prod angry people. Can't wait for a 9 point, 4 assist game in late February now - you're gonna blow your top on that one.

I watched the game and he was very solid on both offense and defense. I think he only played 12 minutes but he definitely made the most of them. As always, he looked great with the pick and roll. He went around a screen and drilled a 3 from the top of the arc. He also had a perfect pass down low to Favors for an easy two. Burke drove the ball easily on his first four points with nifty layups. He also added a steal to which he was rewarded on the other end with an easy layup. I'm super excited for him to start playing more minutes because not only is he on my fantasy team (17 fantasy points in 12 minutes which is very very good) but he is also so fun to watch.
