TomVH: Kris Frost Named to Army All American Roster

Submitted by TomVH on

North Carolina LB/WR Kris Frost was just named to the East roster for the US Army All American game

He's the second Michigan recruit to be named to the East roster, along with safety Avery Walls.

Does anyone know the "official" credentials a kid must have to be named to the Army All-American team?  Do all the supposed 5* kids automatically make the team?  Are there any reasons to assume that the invitees are clearly better than others similarly-ranked by Scouts or Rivals that do not make the team?  I apologize in advance for my ignorance.

I always felt like the AA game players tend to correlate well with who's highly ranked on rivals although I do think that they reference scout rankings sometimes (and obviously UA game players correlate w/ ESPN's ranking since they run that game). Frost is much more highly rated on rivals than scout (ranked something like 33rd in the nation vs only being a 3*) which seems to fall in line with tradition.

This guy might be our important recruit right now. Don't understand why this board pays so much more attention to DHart.
