TomVH: Demetrius Hart Eliminates Auburn *Press Conference*

Submitted by TomVH on

I couldn't say anything about this before, apparently it's ok to be in the public now, Demetrius has eliminated Auburn. This Orlando Sentinel article says he's down to Alabama and Michigan.

I was told almost immediately after his visit to Auburn that he knew that wasn't the school for him. His uncle said it was a 7 out of 10, and Demetrius just didn't feel like it was the right place. So Friday, between Alabama and Michigan.

**EDIT** Demetrius sent me a text tonight announcing that there will be a press conference at Dr. Phillips High School at noon on Friday.

If dee hart has already chosen UM, why just eliminate Auburn? Does this mean his mind isn't made up? Am I the only one who thinks of good news in such a skeptical way?

They quoted Dee's take on the visit.  What do you want them to do, say "Although 4 star RB Demetrius Hart says his visit was a 9 out of 10, he's actually lying"?

I'd rather they report the facts and let everyone else decipher whether he's telling the truth.

why go to Alabama? If they happen to sign a higher rated recruit next year or the year after you, you may well become a victim of the Saban oversigning.

Alternatively, you also may get one of their mysterious unnecessary medical red shirts.

Moreover, if you get a degree from Alabama, you will be treated like a God in that state for employment, but who wants to live there full time? Michigan is a national (and international) degree that will open many doors!

Seems like good news but what about his friend's friend's twitter talking about his facebook page? I mean that's when you know its official.....

Make an intelligent and careful collegiate decision based upon the most important criterion:

THE SCHOOL WITH THE COOLEST HELMET:  (Hint:  It ain't the red one.)

...and always remember:  Better dead than red.

Tom,

Ricardo Mller unfriended basically all the Michigan fans that he had on his facebook. What should i think of this move? Just coincidence to this weeks announcement?

I think we need to respect a recruit's wishes when he wants to make a decision and keep people in the dark just prior to it.  The posting earlier today reading into Dee Hart's post on Ricardo's facebook page might be stealing Hart's thunder, and I think that starts to irritate these guys.  I know, I know, it's the internet age and whatever's out there is seemingly fair game.  But I would bet if we cooled off on some of this "stalking" then we might actually get more information from these guys via more traditional routes, aka Sam Webb, TomVH, "insiders," etc...
