Ticket update: The Big Chill at the Big House

I am assuming that you are a football season ticket holder. Hockey season ticket holders have until the end of March to order tickets (and also have the opportunity for the prime seats) I got my letter two weeks ago (as a hockey season ticket holder, but not football season ticket holder.)

My auntie has the hockey season tickets; she already has bought Big Chill tix.

Still hate what they're doing to the student hockey ticket holders...
Also not happy that I'm going to end up with TWO tickets for buying football AND hockey tickets. It totally slipped my mind to ask friends and family if they wanted to go before ordering I'm afraid, or else I would have bought some of the $10 ones. Now I'm only going to have one spare for my area. Maybe I'll be able to score a girlfriend before the game...
I am not happy having to fork over $450 bucks all at once. I usually budget for each of football and hockey separately. Oh well. Secondly, I am not happy about the seating for hockey student ticket holders at all. I am all for unified student section for the game, but hockey student ticket holders should and deserve priority over students that do not hold season tickets for hockey.
Woooo hooo....back to one point...
I'm tentatively OK with what's being done to the student hockey ticket holders. There's going to be a lot of students that have never been to a hockey game before, so the season ticket holders are going to have to make a concerted effort to get the student section educated, and keep them unified over the course of the game. I think there's a better chance of that being achieved if they're dispersed, as opposed to being clumped together.
I emailed the athletic dept re: the hockey student section, and received a prompt reply that they are indeed considering "special" seating for us as well, and I was given a number to call to discuss it further. I'll let you know if I get any results.
Called the ticket office and they sent out an email to football season ticket holders who have priority points.
you have priority points. You get one for every year you have had season tix. PSD/donations/UM degree earn you more points; I might have received an extra point for the last Frozen Four that I purchased tix from the UM tix office.
...if you do not donate or have a manditory donation tied to your seats (yeah end-zone seats!) your points are not active and you have zero points in the eyes of the athletic dept.
PSD donations receive 1 pt/100USD donated.
$500PSD = 5 pts
other athetic donation receive 2 pt/100USD donated.
$500PSD = 10 pts
You get a 1 pt/season tix/sport/year
5 years of football season tix = 5 pts
3 years of hockey season tix = 3 pts
