THJ's Three Point Shot, to go up 3
I think this deserves posting. The kid is ice cold! What confidence! What balls! To step up and knock that shit down with a hand in his face. Pound that chest Timmy! I nearly threw my shoulder out pumping my fist like a madman in the air.
He also drained two huge FTs. Kid is a player.
I'm secretly hoping for him not to get too good, too quickly so he sticks around for longer. Naismith central his senior year is my dream.
That was a classic "OH NO WHY ARE YOU SHOOTING THA---YESS!" moment. I didn't think it was the greatest look, but he's taught me not to doubt him in the clutch.
I think thats known as the "ali farokhmanesh" moment if you will.
To think I had nearly forgotten that name... It lives every March...
That was EXACTLY what I did. As soon as he went up, I yelled NO, NO...WOOOOOOOOOO.
As soon as he got the ball, I said "take that, Timmy!"
I absolutely wanted him to take that shot.
I absolutely wanted him to take that shot. I stood up and screamed at the tv for him to shoot it - Kid is straight cold hearted with ice running through his veins in the clutch - easily my favorite player along with novak on this team. HUGE cajones
how i felt, i was pissed right when he pulled up extatic when he drained it.
he is quickly becoming my favorite player, he is a stud and does not play anything like a freshman. definetely a great steal in the past recruiting class!
recruit. Give me a couple more like THJr every year.
It will def be interesting to see how long he will be willing to stay at Michigan. I have hope that because his dad was an NBA player he will stay in college longer than he needs to..at least til the end of his junior year..But I have a feeling he could be gone after next year.
Two things give me hope that he stays 4 years, even though I secretly know he probably will leave early:
1. His family has money. Unlike a lot of kids in college, the money aspect of going Pro is unlikely to affect THJR since his dad can buy him anything he wants/needs.
2. His dad stayed 4 years in college. Maybe his dad values the educational aspects of college or the degree, and will talk to JR about sticking around.
I guess deep down I know this is unlikely, but whenever I wonder if THJR is leaving early I keep trying to brainwash myself to remember points 1 & 2.
I've heard that his dad actually ran into some financial trouble. I don't know exactly how severe, but he's not as loaded as you might think. Still, I think he'll encourage his son to stick around awhile and enjoy college.
He had some issues with unpaid back taxes and the Heat bought the mansion that he lives in.
Not to mention that he really seems to be enjoying himself out there
Considering the state of the NBA and where its heading, he is most likely better off staying put for a few years and let that mess settle itself.
but he has a lot of improvement to do before going pro: ballhandling, going to his left and extending the range on his shot. much the same issues as morris.
He's a great player and we're not even close to where we are without him but he still has quite a bit of work in the ball handling department. He seems to be able to drive alright but when in transition it just doesn't look like he's comfortable dribbling the ball.
Still... Love ya TH JR! (no homo)
as this game was for the entire team
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats all I got to say bout that.
ONIONS!!!
Pretty sure he was calling for the ball as soon as Morris crossed midcourt. I thought, "if you're gonna call for it, you better hit the shot" and he did and I was glad.
Hardaway JR is. So is DMo driving to the hoop and doing some pivot to beat at least one defender for the easy layup. Both players hit two late free throws also. I wish I had time today to start a thread.
Anyway, great team effort. GO BLUE.
in celebration. nice win boys!
each stay for the full 4 years, is so that they can hang their number from the rafters. These guys have a chance to become two of our all time greats. I always feel that it is such a shame when a guy leaves early for the pros and don't achieve all that they can at this level. I understand that it is their choice, so I am not going to hate on them.
The sig - that's Epic Novak. I'm just glad that we as a fan base appreciate him as much as we do - I don't know if other fan bases would but it's just a shame that guys with that much heart don't get the love they deserve.
Guy plays with more balls than any player I've seen in a while. Always outsized and out physically matched but plays like a mean motherfucker.
It will be a huge loss when he graduates. He is the heart and soul of this team and you don't just replace that with a jump shooter or rebounder. As I have posted here before, there needs to be a Michigan BB award named after Novak.

GO BLUE!
I was all about that shot. He can hit that all day. In rhythm, without thinking too much about it, he'll make it.
Just checked the box score. Douglas lead the team in rebounds with 7. He also had 4 assists and two steals. Love the hustle. you never know who will come up sneaky big.
had a good game despite his poor shooting. He was never able to get going at 3 point land. Good thing, he slowed down McCamey.
Novak was the only one who can hit 3 pt shot but sometimes I wish that he take more shots instead of trying to shot fake almost everytime.
Has brass balls!
One of the more clutch players I've seen in a while....
Tears of joy. For the whole team, but especially for THJ for that game-breaking 3.
