Indy Pete - Go Blue

Outstanding choice. Wow - I had forgotten just what a classic game this was. That was my senior year, and I was there: Michigan’s a glory days were a blast!

Brabbs missed his first two field goals (36 and 42 yard attempts) so badly he was pulled from the game. His backup missed a shot one with about 1:30 to go. Michigan D came up huge to get the ball back. Navarre remained ? all game at 3rd and long.  Braylon Edwards was gifted a catch and fumble on 4th down (If you  watch the video, you will see how fortunate we were there were no reviews available at that time- he definitely did not make a football move to complete the catch). When he thought he had not called the ball, he didn’t even try to recover what was ruled a fumble. Thankfully Tyrece Butler had the heart and hustle to recover the ‘fumble’. On another fourth down with 13 seconds to go, Navarre threw it about 20 yards over the head of any eligible receiver. Once again, Michigan got bailed out. This time, Washington had 12 men on the field. The 15 yard penalty gave us one last shot at a 44 yard field goal. As the back up kicker looked even worse than Brabbs, he got one more shot. He made the most of it!

That was an awesome trip down memory lane!

I was thinking that, for fun, I'd like to drop an "Are there..." post before your "There are..." posts. Then I noticed you posted this at 2:16 AM. So I'd have to get up at 2AM. Ain't happenin'.

Thanks for the post.
