One could, or many could surmise that the OP title is that exact sentiment of 'owing' us without reaching too much. It is the undertone of the whole thread that osu screwed us by not beating msu. We did not make the play when we had to! We are now in the position of rooting for a team we just handled to beat a team that we should have beaten. I am in a bit of shock that the Urbz and osu magic of their LONG B1G unbeaten streak is over. We must handle our own business on the field with osu. Then let what happens with msu v psu happen.
Go Blue!

And it's up to us to rise above our failures. The future looks quite bright, beginning with next week!
November 21st, 2015 at 6:51 PM ^
OSU got 5 first downs. O how I hate Ohio State.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:54 PM ^
Bring on the negs, but am I the only one happy to see THE OSU and Urbs lose and look like inept POS while doing it. Gotta be the worst performance by a future HOF coach in history. I'd rather see them lose and take my chances of having Penn State beat MSU next week while we pummel them again. Big-time chest pain after that, Urbs.
November 21st, 2015 at 6:52 PM ^
Too bad, but this isn't over yet. Penn State is not a pushover, and if Cook can't play again, I don't see MSU moving the ball much.
November 21st, 2015 at 6:58 PM ^
They'll move the ball better than PSU.
You saw how awful their offensive line was today. And Hackenburg looked really banged up at the end of the game.
MSU has this win in the bag.

That was probably more than a few Ohio State peoples thoughts going into this game also. Cook out, A below average MSU defense (compared to recent years), and an OSU offense that cant torch teams on the ground or air. A lot of OSU people probably thought this game was in the bag all week.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:09 PM ^
did they have the win against Nebraska in the bag a week before too?
November 21st, 2015 at 7:13 PM ^
And James Franklin is still coaching PSU. There's 0.00000 chance they beat Sparty with that crappy coaching staff.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:20 PM ^
So the team that lost to 5-6 Nebraska has no chance of losing to a 7-4 team? Okay.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:28 PM ^
"MSU has this win in the bag. "
Be honest though - when you found out Cook wasn't playing, didn't you say the same thing about OSU today?
They will play and Hack will be in his last game as a Nittany Lion. Also, it wouldn't be the first time PSU has ruined MSU's season.
November 21st, 2015 at 6:54 PM ^
Urban may have screwed up our chance at the conference but at least we can still beat their sorry butts, get 10 wins, and play in the Rose Bowl or another ny6 bowl. Go blue! Beat Ohio!
November 21st, 2015 at 7:07 PM ^
I think we get shut out of the Rose Bowl. MSU in playoffs (i'm predicting they beat Iowa in BTCG) and Iowa in Rose Bowl.

A. No you're not, and
B. It's laughable to consider a coach like Urban throws a game, gives up a 20+ game winning streak, and removes his team from playing for consecutive championships "on purpose"
An absolute egg laid (one of the biggest in recent memory), yet let's not imply this was something more than a bedwetting.

Just another way the Bucks hose Michigan, I guess.
Doesn't make anything less interesting next week but sure does make us more angry at the fluke punting play.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:13 PM ^
It DOES make it a little less interesting though. It's OUR job to smack down our rival's undefeated season, not State's. I used to give no thought to State at all; even while they've been winning I've just shrugged; they'll always just be State. But now... just like all little brothers, it seems they are trying to BE us, take everything that's ours... I am truly feeling the "rivalry" for the first time. Right this minute I think I loath them even more than Ohio State, because at least OSU is OSU, Michigan State thinks they are Michigan. We need to change that real quick.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:25 PM ^
Blame Bill Martin's naivete and Dave Brandon's stupid arrogance for us falling down the pecking order and MSU rising in the pecking order.
November 21st, 2015 at 6:52 PM ^
LOL....oh well. I see the fluke punt drop is still giving.

It's time to become fans of the Hawkeyes, now. Fuck Sparty getting into the playoffs. Let's win The Game and enjoy whatever bowl we get now.

If we beat OSU we would have one loss to MSU and OSU would have 2 losses. If MSU loses next week they would have two losses and we go.
If they win and we win we both have 1 loss but because we lost to them they would go.

Seems we'd be in if that happened--both MSU and OSU would have two conference losses, and UM would have one.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:08 PM ^
I am going to look on the bright side: now we can end the season with a win over OSU, and Penn State can beat MSU. We still end up in the Big Ten championship game, and MSU and OSU suffer a combined three losses in the last two weeks, rather than the two that we were hoping for.
