some of this stuff Forcier is doing is pretty good. If Rich Rod stays true to his word to work the system to fit the player...I think we got a quarterback!!! This boy can throw the ball...

Yeah, Tate is definitely a playmaker. That quality can get him into trouble, which it did on the bad snap that he didn't just fall on. He's got a quick release though. Not the best arm, but he is accurate. Give him a little bit of time back there, and he'll look even better. His oline is awful. He's got about 1.3 seconds to throw the ball or get sacked. At least that will be good for his quick decision making. He's gonna be great in RR's offense.

hahaha, I love how we look at his bad o-line, something that probably brings extreme pain to him each night via hits and sacks, and turn it into a wonderful positive raving about his decision making. I guarantee you, if any of us were in his position we would be pissed the line couldn't stop the rush.

Another example is how the players on the team dread and despise Barwis's grueling workouts and can barely stagger home from the weight room, yet we rave about the man. Fanboys. What can we say?

On the bad side: 3 delay of game penalties, 3 sacks, 2 fumbles, 1 interception, 0/3 on deep passes.

On the good side: man, he can run.

I don't know if it is the system/coaching or Tate, but he seems hesitant to run. He's more likely to scramble around in the pocket in hopes of getting a throw off. But his best plays of the game were with his feet. I hope Rich Rod breaks him out of his pass-first mentality and really turns him into a dual-threat quarterback. Right now, he looks a little too much like Chase Daniel for our system. While I don't expect that he'll ever be a Pat White, I'd be happy if the staff gets him more on the path of Colt McCoy.

RR should play to his strengths. He shouldn't try to change the guy...If RR is true to his word...the system adapts to the player...I think we forget that Shaun King came out of RR's offense and he was a throw first quarterback...hell, RR got him to the big dance...Listen, if either Threet or Sheridan threw with any accuracy..(granted the OLine was rather pathetic at times...but towards the end that sorta gelled) but I digress...If either of those guys could throw with more accuracy...we'd have another three wins under our belt...at least three...so we need to stop with all the run first run run offense talk...let's just get the best guy that wants to be here here...and then lets send him on the field to kick ass...

In defense of Tate, most high schools don't have a play clock on the field, so keeping track of that is often tough to do. Also, I look at the 3 sacks as a positive, not a negative. There were only 3 sacks with as much pressure as the defense was putting on him and as completely filled with holes as that offensive line was. As for the deep throws, get him some better receivers and you never know.
