Can we git in the Tajh Boyd sweepstakes? He is the best QB available and he has been hopping around like crazy. I hope we can just try and get a visit or is he totally uninterested?

i completely agree with you. he would be a perfect fit in RR's offense with pat white ability. i dont know how interested he is in michigan considering he listed the buckeyes as his leader last week. i do know that he was interested in west virginia before RR left FWIW. we need depth and he looks a lot better than feagin as our mobile qb

Boyd would be huge for us now. I dont care what we have to do to get him, anything. cheat offer him money and fake grades just get him in here. you cant tell me other programs arnt doing it. i dont care about honesty at this point just get me some freaks in that will blow the big ten out of the water and win a national championship. thats what its all about dammit. CHEAT!!! give money to the recuits family or something. And why the hell would boyd go to OSU? are you kidding me!! come to michigan and start for 4 yrs or intil you go in the draft. he has no chance of ever starting a game at OSU unless tp blows a knee which would be great. :) God help us , seriously. Im soooo pissed right now. why the fuck cant we get a recruit to michigan? Also tate might be good but he'll be an average qb. we need freaks!

RR needs to break out a whole keg of snake oil to make this happen. But I see it as being possible seeing as this kid seems to change his mind every other day when it comes to his recruitment. I don't know if he would really want to go to OSU with Pryor being just a year in front of him. Then again who knows what is going on in the mind of this 18 year old kid.

With the offensive recruits that liked West Virginia, I always thought we have a shot with them, because...I mean, we have their offense, literally. So, I don't see why we wouldn't. The problem is there's not a lot of time, so they can't spread themselves too thin. They need to focus on kids they know they can get. I have to imagine they've contacted him.

I don't know about Boyd, but, Eugene Smith was, at one time, pretty interested in Michigan. It would make sense that he'd be a target of Rich Rod, too, especially since he's considered a "soft" verbal to West Virginia by some.

it would be a real slap in the face to WV if we steal there bball coach(Belein), football coach(RR), and future pat white replacement in eugene smith in only 2-3 years.....break out the snake oil Rich, we need something positive to hold up this strong class

Sure it would benefit RR to have a couple 4 star guys handy in case he needs them. But he's not getting another stud. They want to go somewhere and have the job handed to them. Or be the backup to a senior for 1 year at worst. No stud wants any part of a battle as a freshman. The price if they lose is too costly. Mope for a year then transfer and sit out a year. Beave committed first. He wasn't expecting a fight. Forcier is a rare case. He was praying for a UM offer and pledged immediately when they came. What guy this year is going to come in knowing he has to fight Forcier AND knows that RR is already recruiting Devin Gardner and Christian Green for '10. They don't want that hastle.

Actually, Forcier had an offer a while before he committed. Beaver committed before Newsome, stayed committed after Newsome gave his verbal, and continued to stay committed after Forcier gave his verbal. Throughout all of this, I'm almost certain Beaver knew that he wouldn't be the only bluechip QB brought in this recruiting season.

You'e right. I got the timeline with Newsome wrong. But it's still not an attractive situation to step into. With all these qb's that RR wants these next 2 years some guys will be scared that they will be the one without a chair when the music stops.
