"• Michigan basketball coach John Beilein spent time with Michigan Radio's broadcast team during the win over Oregon State on Saturday. He joked about his desire to have Taco Charlton -- a 6-foot-6, 285-pound defensive end -- on the basketball court to play in the post and set some ball screens.

Beilein and Michigan assistant Bacari Alexander have a long-standing relationship with Charlton, who was a high school basketball teammate of current Michigan hoops star Caris LeVert. Charlton was quite a basketball player himself during his high school days, and says he still jokes with Beilein about lacing the shoes back up now and again. But, as of now, those conversations are only light-hearted -- between old friends."

Why the teaser?  I find it odd that people these days get so off on showboating for attention on the web.  Just come out with it.

You guys are acting like he was a highly touted basketball player coming out of high school. He's probably just going to be a practice-squad type player.

Or was that sarcasm. I don't remember that much about his basketball career but I thought he was a pretty reasonable... whatever. I don't know anything about basketball. A 4? They just used to call it power forward, I thought. If that's even the right position.

I don't care if he's even that good, MBB has felt like a finesse team for too long. Who wouldn't want to watch a beast named "taco" straight murdering fools on the pick & roll?

I'll start by saying I don't think it'll happen, but playing BB could be a good way to drop weight if he's planning to move over to WDE.  I know there are other ways to drop weight that aren't as likely to lead to injury, but they're not nearly as fun either.
