Woodson out with collarbone injury.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
Woodson out with broken clavicle. Super lame.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:33 PM ^
I did use the medically correct terminology though.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:32 PM ^
Chuck is out for the remainder of the game. This Super Bowl is going downhill in a hurry.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:32 PM ^
Woodson out. Damn. It.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:37 PM ^
If even Joe Buck says your call was bad, um...
February 6th, 2011 at 8:37 PM ^
Is a much sadder place.

I've resigned myself to the fact that, in all likelihood, next year's halftime show will feature Justin Beiber and The Jonas Brothers.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:44 PM ^
Bieber at least doesn't take himself all that seriously. He's always been pretty funny on SNL.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
It was bad enough to see him on SNL with dana carvey. I cannot imagine putting that douchebag in the Superbowl.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
I can see it now....
The Scene: MICH Stadium....At night.....against Notre Dame.....
It's halftime, and.....what's this? The band does not take the field.....
"Oh, hai guys, it's Justin Beiber."
February 6th, 2011 at 10:52 PM ^
Ok, I can't claim to be a Justin Beiber fan but please explain to me how he's a douchebag. This kid has done nothing to deserve all the hate he gets. At first I didn't care, but after a crowd of full grown adults booed him at a basketball game, I just felt bad for the kid. I bet that really ruined his day. If you don't like his music, don't listen to it! Imagine if Michael Jackson had been hated like that (he probably did, but I can't imagine that it was to that degree). Here's a breakdown of how the JB craze could go:
Teenage fall in love with love with young male artist, ruin it for everyone, it's "uncool" to like any JB song even when he actually makes an ok song that isn't childish. Option A: Artist fizzles out and/or breaks down due hate from public, grows up and isn't adorable anymore, teenage girls lose interest. Option B: Artist matures and so does his music, but because still no one wants to listen cause JB is "lame". Option C: Everyone grows the fuck up and lets JB have his time in the limelight.
Now, I'm not saying I'm gonna buy any of his albums, but I'm not gonna hate because teenage girls freak out when they see him. Sometimes I just want shake a teenager and ask why the hell she's crying over JB, but that's no reason to hate the kid. It's not his fault these kids psychopathic freaks when he is around them.
To summarize this short essay, stop the JB hate. He's just a kid, why is he even popular enough to be getting so much hate!!!???

Are you his dad or Usher?
February 7th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
I wish I was usher
February 6th, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
I love the articles that were coming about his leadership this post-season, one of the best examples of Michigan in the NFL currently.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:44 PM ^
Well, at least this game is going to be interesting. Kind of funny that people were calling it a game at halftime. The Packers have a knack of letting teams stick around, and Pitt is definitely not going to freak out.
Sucks that Woodson is hurt. Hopefully the rest of the Pack can fill in.

Remember when Super Bowls were always blowouts? In the last decade or so, they've been really good games.
February 7th, 2011 at 12:04 AM ^
I thought the same thing. Nice for those hosting Super Bowl parties.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:56 PM ^
What's everyone drinking during the game?
Schlafly (a local St. Louis brewery) Pale Ale for me:
February 6th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
Nice, I had some Schlafly's for the first time over the holidays when I was in Wichita. Good stuff.
I'm currently drinking a Bell's Porter.

Oh hell, this Chrysler ad getting me pumped! Detroit baby!
February 6th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
Was damn cool.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:16 PM ^
Great ad. After so many generic "weird" or "funny" SB ads, nice to see an ad with a little substance to it.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
Eminem just won the Super Bowl of kicking ASS.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
had no idea he was from Turin.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
but I have Frank Zombo still! CMU Chippewa class mate and our homes growing up are only a stones throw from each other!

"Imported from Detroit"
Great slogan!
February 6th, 2011 at 9:43 PM ^
How does that video have 332 views when 1,892 people have liked it?
February 6th, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
Views always freeze at about 300 and get updated about 20 hours later.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:10 PM ^
Penalty.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:24 PM ^
Is this U-M hospital ad just a local spot? I didn't think they did that during the Super Bowl.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:26 PM ^
I didn't see it, but did see another local ad.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:31 PM ^
I'm out of state, and didn't see it. We had a local auto repair shop commercial.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:30 PM ^
Book it.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:44 PM ^
Steelers still in it!
Can they get a stop?
February 6th, 2011 at 9:48 PM ^
But that pitch...ok, that was Pro. Bravo. Play Call & Execution.
February 6th, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
Or something, but Big Ben leading a last minute game winning TD drive is NOT how I want this game to end.
February 6th, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^
Maybe, but at least it's interesting.
Edit: You got your wish.
February 6th, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
God I hope this doesn't work out.
February 6th, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^

Congrats to Charles!

Nice to see the mgoblog community has its priorities straight.
February 6th, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
Matches Manning in Super Bowls, and keeps Big Ben behind Brady in Super Bowls 2-1 to 3-1. And Ben can be MVP for his two picks. The world is good. Crack open a cold one.
