First, I credit Bosch with the inspiration - excellent idea, sir.

This is the Sugar Bowl Open Thread  - 1st Half. I think 8:15 PM is close  enough.

If this canned phrase could ever be used, it surely can be used now.  They just look out of sync.  That throwback pass to V. Smith has been money all year long.  Denard left it short this time.

This is going to be rough on the D tonight.  Too many plays on defense already they are going to be wiped out in the 4th quarter unless we can we can get something going on offense.

We will be fine. All it will take is one big offensive play to take advantage of their aggressiveness. Those last two plays would have been touchdowns. Just need to execute.

If you don't take 2 minutes to rest the D and get the nerves out of these boys there won't be a situation where you regret burning it because VT's gonna run away with this game.

Timeouts are NOT to be saved at all possible costs to stop the clock in some hypothetical close situation you may not even have.  Sometimes the situation calls for them, and now is the time.  There is something seriously wrong with the team, and you want to regain control while the game is still close.  It's a long way to halftime yet, and the defense has been on the field almost the entire game.  VT's gaining momentum.
