Strollers at the Big House

Submitted by RakeFight on

MGoBlue says strollers are allowed within the gates for the Spring Game.  Debating with the wife whether it's worth it to bring the stroller.  Anyone know what happens to the strollers once you're in?

Fascinating topic, I know.

We're bringing our 1.5 year old. We're not bringing a stroller. Go light, chances are you won't be there long anyway with a young one.

But I'm loving the unintentional comedy of nobody answering your actual question. When I've gone in the past, it's been a sparse enough crowd where you could probably navigate the stadium pretty easily. As long as you wheel it in and sit near the tunnel row, I think you'll be okay. Maybe don't try to roll it down to the front row.

There is a good chance that once you are inside they turn into a 'hey let's let this family sit in the spacious area for wheelchairs'. I would bring it.

Absolutely ok... I often took my time and enjoyed the atmosphere while at the Big House, choosing to stroll around the lovely confines of the stadium rather than run.

Stroll at your leisure, my friend

Strollers might be allowed in but I can't see why anyone would want to deal with the hassle in a place like that.  The place won't be packed, but trying to get a stroller around in tight spaces, crowds and steep stairs is just asking for problems.  Less of a problem during the Spring game, but still a problem.

Unless you're sitting in the suites, then nevermind, it's nice up there and you get to take the elevators.

I'm curious how it turned out. Did you go with or sans stroller?

It has been a dozen years since strollers for us. imhe, I would bring the smaller foldup stroller that foldup to an easy enough size to manage. Wouldn't bring one more like a pram that is a heavy and bulky monstrosity.

I'd question if you're parent and/or if you are qualified to provide meaningful insights on this post if you are questioning this...or maybe you are a parent just withholding a story about a bad experience. If you are a Michigan fan, you like to go to Michigan events. If you are a Michigan fan who is also a parent of a young kid, you know said child makes going to these events relatively difficult (babysitters vs. all the things that could wrong by bringing a kid). You'd also know that the spring game is low risk for bringing a younger kid: no ticket costs, no guilt if you need to leave early, smaller crowd, less noise, less restrictions on what you can bring with you. As a Michigan fan with 2 small kids, I don't question bringing a stroller aged kid at all to the Spring game.

We never attempted during the season (pretty sure they were prohibited), but did see several in the stadium today. Security just tagged them with the "Approved" bands that they use on backpacks.
