He was a 5 time Pro Bowler, 2 time All Pro, led the league in interceptions twice, and made an all decade first team. Already in the Patriots HOF.

Definitely a stand out player. I think he gets in. 53 picks, 5 sacks, 7 touchdowns.

Deion Sanders had 53 picks, 10 defensive tds, 1 sack for comparison sake.

Charles Woodson 65 picks, 13 tds, 20 sacks 33 forced fumbles

Rod Woodson 71 picks 17 tds 13.5 sacks 1 ff

I think he might have to wait for Ed Reed, Or Champ Bailey to slide in first, but i think he makes it in relatively soon.

The 90s players, recruited by Bo (89-90), Gary Moeller and Lloyd was the finest talent ever assembled in a single decade in Michigan football history.

Haters who don’t want Ty in will be like.... “I fought the Law and the Law won”. It’s just the way it is.

I can't tell if you're serious about "decline of Michigan football" (given that we won a NC three years later) but putting the blame for that play on Law—who was in a scrum of four people at the goal line, all jumping for the ball—is horseshit.

If you want to assign blame, put it on defensive coordinator Lloyd Carr for only rushing 3 and having slow-footed LB Steve Morrison on the field, who added literally nothing to Michigan's defense on that play.

i was at that game... wasn't the cause of the decline... i cant believe i even responded to that stupidity.

also saw Law and Woodson play live each year... I have always maintained here, look it up, that Law was the superior pure CB to Woodson... and the best ever to play at M.  Before you get your panties in a bunch, Woodson was obviously the better all around player.

Michigan's offense went into a complete turtle shell during its last 2 or 3 possessions—it was obvious they were scared to run anything other than a completely "safe" running play and got stopped easily, giving Colorado the time for the hail mary. One more first down, and we clinch the game. That's on Moeller.

The fact that Ty Law isn't a HOFer already is a travesty. Best cornerback of his era, so dominant that they instituted a rules change after a whiny Peyton Manning complained about physical defensive backs. Made big play after big play to help the Patriots win those first three titles. Obviously, I have a great deal of affection for him as he is my favorite Patriot of all time, but he has the numbers, he has the big plays, he should be in.

Part of the existential fuckery of the 20-year losing streak to OSU is that to be considered a truly great Michigan player (or coach), you have to have beaten Ohio State. It may be unfair, but that's the reality. Henne might have had a great arm, but give me a QB that was able to beat our rival, not go 0-4. Ten and 3 is a nice record, but if it always includes a loss to Ohio State, then it will forever lack the mark of a truly great team. The last great Michigan QB (whose excellent play helped beat OSU) is Tom Brady, whose long pro career is nearly over. Following the team in the '70s-2000 there were consistent heroes: Leach & Huckleby; Harbaugh to Kolesar; Desmond and the punt return; and Woodson, whose transcendent performance delivered a win over OSU and a National Championship. To find the last of the true greats, we have to go all the way back to Brady and Woodson--the heroic age--and that is a damn shame.

These are great players who have paved the way... many, many, many years ago.

Who’s paving the way NOW?

Who’s filling trophy cases NOW?

15 without a conference championship is too long.  Get it done.  NOW.
