"It was 60 minutes of unnecessary roughness and that what we tried to achieve." Pat Narduzzi on MSU win.

That was some of the most disgusting personal fouls I have ever seen in a game.

the most classless fans around .. I was at the game with my 7 year old son, and we were walking into the bathroom before the game. There were about 15 spartan students standing by the door .. 2 got in my face and started saying fuck you motherfucker and another one was pointing in my sons face saying "you're growing up a walmart wolverine fucker" ... schools and the ncaa need to clean this crap up

the punch was excessive yes but look at the good defenses they hurt people they are violent thats what michigan should have been playing like.. you should want to hurt people when you hit them. state played that way..

Yeah , you jump on piles and jerk a guys face mask trying to break his neck. That's football to you? I coach kids and I watched this game with my son and some of his friends. The kids were disgusted. That's not football and it's not being tough. It's being a coward and having no respect for the game.

I didnt say play cheap. But when they would hit people they were trying to make kill shots on legal hits. Michigan is just hoping to tackle someone. When I played jr hockey and college we were more intense than everyone and in weekend games we would always win game 2 because we wore you down. We hit you hard and it hurt you. The same concept can be applied to football. Look at all the top defenses they play with great passion and hit hard. You have to be violent when playing a physical sport but within the rules. It's plenty of respect for the game. Just like Taylor's mean streak our defense needs to play with that mean streak.

There was really no danger for Lewan in that situation. I am sure that Lewan can get punched like that all day and just be pissed off but what Gholsten did against Denard was an attempt to end a players career. That kind of play is unacceptable in my mind.

Michigan didnt play well enough to win today. We didn't lose because of all the personal fouls either. Yes Michigan state was very unclassy. So let's be classy by not talking about what horrible sportsmanship they have. The games over, we'll get em. Karmas a bitch.

level today. And some posters don't seem to understand, nobody is saying the loss was due to the behavior of MSU or is pissed about it because UM lost. People are pissed becaused it was completely ridiculous and ultimately resulted in an injury to Denard, which some people seem to be ignoring.

Oh come on guys-it's football-it's a dirty game-always has been-always will be. If you watch the whole thing the state player was having his head pushed into the ground. Bottom line MSU kicked your butts-they have more experience more talent today. Their D played very well- whining about lack of handshakes at the end of game-taunting is weak. How soon people forget about the fab five dancing at mid court after kicking some serious a** at MSU . How about Michigan sticking roses in their mouths and dancing around at Spartan stadium and not shaking hands.
It's a game- a game that today showed MSU is a tougher team.

We danced around with roses at Spartan Stadium? I don't think we've ever played you guys late enough in the season to do that.

I really don't care what the players do after the game, but I have a problem with players being allowed to repeatedly take cheap shots at our QB, receiving nothing more than the occasional penalty. Gholston had no business playing the 4th quarter.

some of the crap you saw from MSU is just part of football, than why don't you see teams racking 6+ personal foul penatlies every game? Sorry, your post is idiotic. Punches and late hits with malicious intent, like the last one on Denard, are not things that should occur in the game. Football is a physical game, you can be physical without crap like that.

He had better sit next week. That's the rule right? Besides the wwe flying splashes five seconds after the play was dead gholston really didn't do much. Oh and the punch to the face.

was the only thing that occured. Nobody claimed that Michigan players have never done something similar, but I don't recall a game where I saw Michigan rack up 6 or so personal fouls.

Not saying its not a dirty play but I guess everyone failed to realize that before that, Lewan was holding gholstons facemask and patting him on the back. Not saying it deserved a punch but don't give Taylor Lewan, who has a history of personal fouls himself from last year, off the hook.

The problem with Sparty people is that, although they despair their trashy reputation, they repeatedly validate it. And wait till the sofas start burning.

.....that the MGoCommunity is a classy joint, and that our team is a classy team with a QB whose smile eradicates world hunger. MSU has a QB whose smile underscores the need to master personal pronouns when you're going to trash talk.

VG showed a complete lack of character in this game. Football or any sport should be based on good sportsmanship. If a player doesn't exhibit this, you have to wonder whether the player's coaches emphasize this. Given the fact that Dantonio has mentored under a known sleaze-ball like Jim Tressel, the answer is now obvious. Coach Dantonio should be disciplined by the Big Ten for his weenie-like lack of willingness to take VG out of the game like he should have. I'm disgusted that a program of poor moral leadership like MSU is a member of our conference.

Dantonio has just confirmed that he is suspending Gholston from all of his classes this up coming week starting on Monday and ending on Wednesday, with a possibility of him also being suspended from Thursdays study hall.

This is funny show the play in its entirety, stupid to throw the punch but was not unprovoked. As far as the personal fouls? Well I thought 2 of them were gifts to us, the face mask twist not cool but some of these posts are wayyyuyu out of line. USAF at the 50 yard line U of fans and MSU fans alike, there was nothing unsportsmanlike goIng on through the entire game, I tailgates with both sides, the fans didn't cheer whe Denard was hurt that is a total lie, the state fans including the student section. ChJeered when all of the U of M players came off the field. The Spartan band played Hail to the Victors yada yada yada this blog today is totter out of line. Every stadium including our own has a handful of morons but this was sims not this way at MSU today and they payed well. We eve got the benefit of a couple of calls I don't think should have been made.
