Stanford upsets USC again

Submitted by BoFan on

Once again Stanford upsets USC - 4 straight wins for Stanford.  This is good for Michigan and good for Denard.  I'm also a Stanford and Michigan grad.  Barkley had a terrible game.  0 TDs and 2 INTs.

That makes the most sense at this point. WV may get a shot if they win out. Of course anyone not living in about 5 states would hate to see that.

FSU has an easy schedule. Oregon can't really hang. Oklahoma will find a way to lose on the way.

I am at UA but I would not want to see another SEC vs SEC BCS game.

Anyone else think that UCLA has a real shot at beating USC this year?  Looking at USC's schedule, if they play like they did tonight, they could be looking at losing 4 games.

Oregon, UCLA, and maybe the Irish.

To say that scholarship reductions will have any effect on USC this season is likely not accurate. Their first reduced class was last season and they landed 16 recruits. If having 16 true freshmen on your squad affects the outcome of any of your games, then your team was already flawed. Also, Michigan has something like 8-10 walkons on scholarship this season, yet nobody seems to blame depth for our woes. I guarantee USC doesn't have more than a couple walkons with scholarships, if ANY.

but I did have hopes that USC could be the team to unseat the SEC. Who now is a legitimate national threat? FSU by way of an easy schedule? Oklahoma? (no)....Louisville??

It's great to see Stanford do well. If a school like Stanford can field elite teams, then there's nothing holding Michigan back. Also, it's hard not to root for one of the precious few schools left that have never been in trouble with the NCAA.

It looks like Shaw really does know a thing or two about coaching and isn't just riding Harbaugh's coattails. With the way he's recruiting, it looks like he'll be able to maintain the standards that Harbaugh set.

The shocker with SC is the o-line play. They lost their center and it all went to sh**. The defense wasnt the problem. As for Stanford, Nunes the qb is not good enough to cary them all the way though the rest of the team is obviously good.
