I'd love for that to happen, but do we have the scholly?  I don't think he is allowed to pay his own way for a year and not count againt the cap, is he?

Cool buuuttt... it's more likely that he's a sharp guy who wants to go to grad school or be a Grad Asst. and realizes MI is best place for that. Like i said Spike is sharp.

“If my body doesn’t cooperate, it doesn’t cooperate,” Albrecht said. “I can’t really say either way, whether or not I want to come back or not. It all depends on my body. That’s the main thing I’ve gotta focus on is rehab, to see if I can back to that level next year.”

This is the key, of course, to see if your body will ultimately cooperate even with procedures and rehabilitation (learning that lesson in a different way myself at the moment), but if this is where he is at, then I am intrgued to see what the full year of rehab says about his ability to come back really. I would definitely not mind one more season of Spike, if he were able to do it and wanted to do it.

Different topic, but is anyone else worried about the language Beilein is using to describe Caris's injury?  Looked like a minor twisted ankle live, but the quote below concerns me, since it's the same foot as last year's long term injury.  This stretch of three games will be brutal enough WITH Caris.

"Beilein was asked if there's any chance LeVert could face a long-term issue with the injury.

'There's a chance of anything right now," he answered. "There's a chance of it being a one-day issue just as much as it's a long-term issue.'"
