Spencer Hall on College Coaches and Alcohol

The title of the topic does not do it justice, but Spencer's thoughtful piece on the nature of college football coaches and alcohol is definitely worth your time on this Friday afternoon.

College Coaches, Drinking, and Two Men at the Rail

(yes, I realize most of you read EDSBS every day, but this is a great piece of writing.)

Spencer consistently brings it. He's great at coming up with ridiculous memes (FUCK CLEMSON, Purdue's non-existence, the .gif he has for Delaney), creating an environment for absolutely hysterical commenters, doing incredibly creative columns (some of his Schnelly columns are inspired), and then every once in a while dropping a bomb like this.

This was good. I think the piece he did when Urban Meyer left was better, but this is good.

Orson's great, but I'm not sure I'd agree that Holgerson may not have gone over the edge. He'll be 40 this month and is getting tossed from casinos for being a belligerent drunk. His actions may hurt his day-to-day life's work. He's got issues.
