Speculate who could be Penn St's next coach if O'Brien is lured away

Slow day on the board so why not?  Could be amoot discussion, but a fun one nonetheless.  I'd be rooting hard for a Tom Bradley comeback.  He'd be a good representative for the university, but him being there during the Sandusky days would be a hindrance.  What about Munchak if he gets fired?

He will revolutionize college offenses with his new 9 receiver sets (plus QB and center). 83 scholarship receivers - defense and special teams will all be receivers too - just think how many picks the defense will have)

Too soon?

Al Golden will be coaching PSU sometime in the near future. If B.o.B. doesn't leave this year, he will most certainly be back in the NFL soon and the next head coach will have to be someone the alumni will stand behind. Golden is being played like a fiddle down in Miami by the AD and I can't see him liking his situation down there any better than what PSU will be offering over the next 5 years.

But the situation as far as talent goes is going to be dreadful in a year or two. Golden may be the coach someday, I just don't see it in the next 7-8 years. If Obrien leaves, I think PSU is going to have to hire someone older who has nothing to gain or lose, not really sure who though....Frank Solich?

Solich has a good thing going at OU.  The fans love him and there aren't unrealistic expectations like there would be at Penn State, where it seems like a majority of people expect PSU to be able to go undefeated despite the sanctions.   Given what happened to Solich in Nebraska, I don't see him ever wanting to to back to that sort of environment.
