"Me and Kingston took that visit up there, we both really liked it a lot and we both knew that was the place for us," Johnson says. "I worked really hard for that offer. I know they wanted to see what I could do at the camp, and I knew I had to give it my all. "Other coaches down here don't like what he's doing. But it's a good idea and it's a great opportunity for us kids down here in the south, it gives us a chance to show what we can do to other coaches."
"It wasn't a tough decision," Johnson says. "I knew where I wanted to go, I knew that was the school I wanted to go to after I took the visit. So it wasn't a hard decision, I just needed to prove to them I could earn the offer.

This guy worked his ass off for two months so he'd look like a 4 star just for the Michigan coaches at this camp. This guy is going to play as a hungry Wolverine!

In six months as Michigan's head coach, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has now received commitments (or letters of intent) from six different players inside the Southeastern Conference footprint. In Brady Hoke's four years in charge of the program, Michigan signed just three players from the Southeast.

Here's exhibit #1:  Actually, it's inspiring to kids.  Even those growing up in SEC territory.  It gives them a chance to be seen, a chance to get an offer, and for that they are willing to work.

Hard.
