It’s a week away, man.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:10 PM ^
Weather reports a week out are basically still reading chicken entrails.
August 25th, 2018 at 10:18 PM ^
Stop it. You're just making me hungry.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:18 PM ^
Good news is that next year is currently forecasted to be average fall weather
August 25th, 2018 at 6:14 PM ^
Was in a meeting once and someone asked what the weather was expected to be like the upcoming summer. The weatherman responded with "there is a 50 percent chance that temperatures will be above median this summer".
August 25th, 2018 at 6:43 PM ^
The forecast should be spot on.
After all, they are alll dead sure it will be 1.5 degrees warmer in 80 years. 6 days away should be nothing for these folks.
August 25th, 2018 at 9:17 PM ^
You make this joke literally every time someone brings up any weather forecast. And someone like me usually replies with "let me explain the difference between long-term weather forecasts vs. long-term climate forecasts..." yada yada yada.
My prediction for Saturday?
Prediction?
Yes, prediction.
Pain.
August 25th, 2018 at 10:16 PM ^
Shut the fuck up, Donny.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:07 PM ^
Fucking rain. It felt like it rained every home game last year except for the game we needed it vs OSU
August 25th, 2018 at 7:04 PM ^
I sweat my bag off when we played Cincinnati.
August 25th, 2018 at 7:28 PM ^
Because O’Korn would have passed better in the rain?
I think we have the MSU game as a counterpoint there.
August 25th, 2018 at 7:50 PM ^
Well rain evens out the passing game problems. I would have just preferred rain against OSU. Weird shit happens in the rain.
August 25th, 2018 at 8:25 PM ^
We played them evenly enough that I don’t think we needed bad weather (which could have hurt us just as much as them). Just catch an INT, don’t miss a wide-open Evans on 4th down, or put together one drive with 3 min left - ugh, that game was right there for the taking...
August 25th, 2018 at 5:34 PM ^
He’ll always be Killgrave to me
August 25th, 2018 at 5:09 PM ^
It brings up an interesting idea. Would rain favor or hurt Michigan?
August 25th, 2018 at 5:11 PM ^
Two running teams with question marks passing. Our secondary is better, so probably them?
Unless one team has a random mudder in the backfield, like that one Northwestern game with Justin Fargas.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:13 PM ^
Do you not remember Brian Kelly trying to throw all day in the hurricane against NC St?
August 25th, 2018 at 5:20 PM ^
I had not, but thank you for reminding me of that amazing day.
August 25th, 2018 at 6:52 PM ^
Shea Patterson > Brandon Wimbusch.
Mark it. Next frame.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:12 PM ^
I think it would hurt. Shitty weather favors the underdog.....and yes, ND is the underdog.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:12 PM ^
I woukd say favor. ND will already be limited offensively and our defense will feast if it rains.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:16 PM ^
I was considering this as well. I think...help? Only if Kelly still tries to throw? Wimbush's accuracy in rain would be hilarious to see - they'd be entirely one dimensional and might not score at all. Maybe we'd be less one dimensional? Not sure.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:32 PM ^
Under the lights, in a downpour... there's no way the home team loses that game, right?
Too soon?
August 25th, 2018 at 7:04 PM ^
Just in time, actually, for this week's potential downpour.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:38 PM ^
Sauce for the goose...the odds will be even
So I think it favors Notre Dame.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:14 PM ^
The weather down here sucks. It seems to always rain on ND home openers. I am for whatever weather helps us!
August 25th, 2018 at 5:20 PM ^
Rain is not something they are likely to be pinpoint accurate on a week out....
This is like getting all excited over 2021 Recruiting....
August 25th, 2018 at 10:20 PM ^
Correct...and yet there is always someone who thinks it’s useful to post a weather thread a week prior to the game. A westher thread on the prior Friday makes sense, but not on a Monday...or in this case, SEVEN days prior.
August 25th, 2018 at 5:46 PM ^
weather predictions a week before the game... almost as accurate as information found on wikipedia

Farmers almanac?
August 25th, 2018 at 7:42 PM ^
I heard they use farmersonly down there.

What’s the over /under on how tall the grass is ?
August 25th, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
I hope the staff has learned a lesson about not throwing all over the field in a monsoon, even with a better QB.
August 25th, 2018 at 7:17 PM ^
Let me call some people who control the weather. THey'll make sure it's fine.
August 25th, 2018 at 7:33 PM ^
Good, if they said rain today, there is a 100 percent chance it will be nice
August 25th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
Current forecast for last weekend in November is snow showers. Let’s hope this changes by then. I’m sure the team is super nervous about this as am I.
Idiot
Go Blue!!

Right now, I'm seeing relatively low chances for t-storms in South Bend on Saturday (25-30%); that said, it's one of those deals (likely) where if it does rain/storm, it's gonna be heavy. But hey, today is only Sunday. It's not really worthwhile paying any kind of real attention to a forecast this far out.
