Sorta OT: Ever named your kid or pet after something U of M related

Submitted by Joshisbowler on

Has anyone on here ever named their kid or pet after a player or coach or anything U of M related?  My wife and I just got a puppy and named her Maizie Blu.  Knowing how things have been around here lately I just wanted to have a little fun with this one.

This is only my second time posting on here so I apoligize if I have any grammer or spelling errors.  Go Blue

First dog was named Brady (after Tom, obv.).  Second one is named Morgan.

We named her Morgan, however, after Alex (second WNST naming on the thread, following Beedub3, I see) -- not Jordan or Desmond.  Both of whom remain noble namesakes.

I got my wife a dog for her birthday last year.  The only stipulation was that I got to name her and decided on Henne.  I was going to get Henne a brother and name him Hoke, but, you know...probably going to settle on Hart.

Named our first Bernese Mountain Dog “Bo.” Part of the pre-nup 23 years ago. Thought “attend one home game per year” (we live in California ) was part of the pre-nup too, but she corrected me on that.

My 2 1/2 year old's name is Jake and middle name is Ryan.

Jake Ryan is also the name of the hearthrob in the movie 16 Candles (Molly Ringwald movie from the 80s), which is one of my wife's favorite movies.

I have wondered if Jake Ryan's parent's gave him the name Jake too for that reason.

My family named our first dog, an English Springer Spaniel, Bo.  We got the dog in Bo's last season as coach.  Turns out "Bo" isn't a good name for a dog that you constanly yell "NO" at.  Darn thing would chew up VHS tapes and whatever else he could get his paws on.
