Soapbox: Bad year for us but . . .

I'm still optimistic for our future. I don't think we were going anywhere with LC and the program was getting very stale. College football excellence was passing us by and we needed a shakeup. To think that this was not going to be painful was just flat out denial. It is just our turn to take some lumps and we should take it like men. Take a breath, stay positive, allow this team to develop and savor the sweetness when it is our turn. McGuffie: He played hard and I would love to see him stay and be part of our future, but a death in the family is serious business. I'm sure he feels the need to stay closer to home and if he needs to go, let him and wish him the best. OK, I'm off my soapbox.
