So why would a family pick Brian Kelly

They must be misinformed or dumb ...

Fear of coarse. Don't want that fricking nutjob exploding in your house on a visit. I wouldn't go within 20 feet of that dicksmoker after learning about him the past few years.

that can be answered with sound knowledge because he usually nails them. If I had not known I would have stopped with his opinion, but I just wanted to see what the board had to say.

As he said, it's not a decision. If their kids get chosen for ND, parents will push and it normally doesn't take much. The family has set around the dinner table since the young man was in pee-wee football discussing ND football every night at supper. Every Saturday in the fall same faimlly gathers around the t.v. and no other games are even considered when the Irish plays.

More than any other school, minds are made up prior to the kid being born and the only two variables are sex and skill. It he meets both, he's going to SB, simple as that. No other school can match this loyalty that ND has inspired for 100+ years.

I don’t think they’re picking him so much as they’re picking ND.

Doesn’t matter who is coaching there. They will always get good recruiting classes. Thousands upon thousands of parents in this country dream of sending their children to ND.

I know dozens of players who played for him at Grand Valley. I would say the consensus was that he was a prick on the football field but great off the field. Most of them would run through a wall for him.

I think it's hasty to judge a person's character based on a few fairly isolated instances of them yelling. Michigan's coaches certainly yell at the players from time to time - just because Brian Kelly's face turns a particular shade doesn't make him a worse person. There's also every chance that he is embarrassed about these video clips which appear, showing him at his worst, and is working on those behaviours. Acting poorly doesn't forever taint him as a bad person any more than James Franklin kicking a field goal down several scores once taints him as a poor coach.

I saw what he did for the players and program at CMU during my last year(s) of the tenure of a better part of a decade in the flattest mountain of michigan. He's not a bad dude. He just turns various shades of red on a dime.

Speaking from experience, recruited by him and played for him. He comes off very confident, and he should be for winning big at gvsu. The guy is winner, has his faults...but he is at Notre Dame which recruits itself. Wish I️ was sober enough to articulate, and not have auto correct through out symbols instead of words.

I know a player that played there recently. He wasn't great, did some backup duty here and there. When I asked him this same question he said that the coaches were actually really cool and he loved playing there and for them.

The impermissable benefits though.... those guys don't pay for anything....

KeLLLLy averages 4 losses per year at ND. He hasn't won a meaningful bowl game in nearly 10 seasons. No idea why anyone thinks he's a Top 25 HC. He is not. And UM will skullfu*k ND next year. Looking forward to it.
