So if Steve Brown is playing the hybrid OLB

Submitted by SFBayAreaBlue on
who is going to play the two safety positions? Brandon smith is supposed to be talented but isn't he just a redshirt freshman (or soph, did he get PT last year?) and who else?

brown's not playing the hybrid OL (the 'spinner') or 'deathbacker'. he's playing the safety/linebacker one i think.

OL=Offensive Line OLB=Outside Linebacker UK=Kentucky KU=Kansas I'm the worst texter in the world so this makes me proud, I'm ready for the weekend.

I agree that it is a 3-1-2-5! I think that is the appropriate way to describe the defense this year with this personnel. It will not always be like this. I think it will change depending on the team.

Did someone just say Vlad is looking like a starting safety and "it's not even close" ? wow, so evidently he's not just back from the injury... he's a phenom too. sweet

So you really aren't saying it probably isn't true, just that you have your doubts. The poster who made the comment had evidence from an article. Flimsy as that may be, it's more than just a gut feeling. You coming in with no evidence whatsoever, saying "that's probably not true" is the least compelling way to make an assertion. Also, why is it so hard to believe? We've had terrible safety play, and we brought in a highly rated safety who enrolls early. That doesn't sound so far fetched to me.

los barcos said it was on GBMW I remember reading that without the injury Emilien would have been 5 stars or something... but is he really eclipsing the competition? anyone else hear that?
