I'm getting the text messages as they come in (which is VERY cool BTW) and there is really only one name I'm waiting to see roll across.

Poggi.

Am I the only one a bit nervous (his pajama selection notwithstanding) about him until he makes it officially official?

How are they pulling such highly rated players? They are a bottom feeder is their conference....i guess the pub of SEC is winning out

So...changing gears a little bit.  Ole Miss is definetely doing something very shady.  You don't have a joke of a program and then reel in 3 of the top 10 players in the country.  Something is not right with this situation.

Is something so anomolous as this enough to warrant a closer look by the NCAA, or at least by some sort of Miss equivalent of the freep?  I understand as of now, there is only wild speculation based on the fact that there is seemingly no way they could be landing these guys legitimately.

But come on, there is no way they could be landing these guys legitimately

They're almost certainly doing something shady, but after what we've all seen the last few years, why would they not take the risk?  There is virtually no chance of a serious penalty being handed down, and even if there was, oh well, Ole Miss would just be back where they started anyway.  If Miami can blatantly buy players boats and hoes and walk away scot free because of the inept NCAA then what the hell, might as well throw your hat in the ring too if your program sucks.

if after you opened all of your presents you had to wait until spring to play with them.  I can't wait to see these kids develop and to watch them start playing some football, even if it is just springball.

Does anyone in the NCAA even see patterns like Ole Miss?  Or do they stay oblivious because they know they have no power to truly get to the root of the problem?

Saban will narc on them.  Plus the other established powers of the SEC will likely be happy to see Ole Miss thrown under the bus.

That said if you're Ole Miss, it is likely worth it.  You'll get 4 or 5 years in the sun and maybe even a national title before the NCAA catches to you.  The NCAA will of course nuke you and you'll suck, but hey you sucked before so what did you really lose?  Plus if you can build some excitement during your run, you'll get donations and the like to at least improve your facilities.

I'm in Sun Devil country and the big news here is their 4 star QB out of Georgia, Joshua Dobbs, was a signing day flip to Tennessee and Butch Jones.  2nd straight class for ASU without a QB after they had another last minute QB flip from them last year; if Todd Graham weren't such a d-bag, I'd feel sorry for him.

Middling Pac-12 class, I think RR got 2 four stars, a bunch of 3's, and as always there are the handful of "Sleeper" 2 stars to round it out.  Ranging between 26 and 40 nationally depending on the site you look at.

25 signees in total, 13 offense and 12 on defense.  Very weak on the lines, the O-Line in particular.  Let me know if you've heard that one before.
