Significant betting line movement in the past hour for The Game

Submitted by Fieldy'sNuts on

The line has been at Ohio State -6.5 all week after initially opening at -7.5. Within the past hour the line has fallen to -5.5 at most sports books, with Caesars Palace giving us the most favorable odds at -5. I can't imagine the line would be tightening if the insider buzz was that O'Korn was starting.

Update 6:45 PM EST: Two more sports books (in addition to Caesars) now have the line at -5. Update 10:30 AM EST: Twelve sports books now have the line at -5.5 or lower. Two have it at -4.5.

then have to make a significant move in the line to even out the bets, what happens if the score is right in the middle?

Vegas doesn't always win. They win big in the long run because they take bets on so many events. They can afford to lose on a few games, which is bound to happen whatever strategy they employ. A big loss on the Super Bowl is the one that stings.

Massey still has the predicted probability of victory at 42% with a predicted score of 28-25 in favor of OSU.

Wondering if the line gets closer to something like three points before tomorrow. I think it would make it a little more interesting than it is now certainly.

Rumor on the street is that Harbaugh and his kids were contacted by Bo's spirit via a ouija board and he gave them Ohio State's playbook. Unfortunately it was in morse code and Bo's morse is so rusty that he could have been sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.
