I've heard mixed reviews.  It sounds like he was somewhat distant from the team and day to day operations.  I've read accounts by a couple of parents of players that made it sound like he had lost the respect of the team and his staff.  He seems like a nice guy, but some coaches are better suited to be coordinators and don't have the leadership skills to be a head coach.

I have decided that I dislike Al Golden since he seems to recruit anyone and everyone with a Michigan offer. Also Susan has a face that is perfect for radio. That is all.

Randy Shannon already did a lot to change the culture at Miami, but he couldn't win enough games and he couldn't diminish the power of the Dade/Broward clique.   It will be interesting to see how Golden does.  The media hates it when they don't get to write about Miami as a bunch of thugs, so I'm sure they're rooting against him.

I hope Tate "You lift me up Coach" Forcier can have a decent career down there.  I'm a bit leery of the environment he's going into but I wish the kid the best.  Perhaps a new squad and school will give him the kick in the arse he needs grow up...

Sure sounds like Golden will have his hands full at the U.  But we knew Blago would have his hands full!

(Sorry for the partial thread jack...was just thinking of former players this morning.)
