SIAP: Guess who was Braylon's passenger when he was pulled over?
None other than Vernon Gholston. But the story gets more interesting. Could Vernon have set up Braylon(/S)? hmmmm......read the story.

Old news is old.

how is this old...if this was an OSU player who was guilty of DWI, we would still be talking about it and hold it over their heads for a few more years.

If so, then mods should delete this. But I find it funny that Vernon was THAT GUY and didn't utilize the service the JETS set up for them so this type of thing doesn't happen.

I still don't get what Gholston is remorseful for.
September 26th, 2010 at 11:20 PM ^
...The jets gave their players a phone number for a service that will pick them up if they go out to drink/party and get inebriated. Thus, so they won't drink and drive. Gholston had the number programmed in his phone but didn't use it. He had to have known Braylon was wasted.

If I read the article correctly he said he programmed the number in after the incident.

1) Old story
2) OSU and Mich players tend to get along well once in the league...similar values, history, midwest background, Big Ten, etc...
3) Gholston risks his life and gets in the car with a wasted guy just to set him up cuz they went to rival schools....dumb...

FACT: in general, fans of teams care far, far more about rivalries than players on those teams do
September 26th, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
Tell that to Troy Woolfolk.
Or Mike Hart.

why he said "in general" rather than "without exception"

Exactly why I said "in general" rather than "without exception."
September 27th, 2010 at 11:55 AM ^
What are you talking about? Anecdotal evidence is always the most reliable.
That's why Mike Hart and Kevin Grady prove it is better to recruit 3 stars than 5 stars.

I think Mike Shaw would also like to disagree with that.

Many fans often present opinions as facts.

If there isn't a link it isn't true. Or so I've read on this blog.

Sorry, I Am a Penis and didn't bother to search the board to see if this has already been discussed.

Sorry if already posted

The repost or the fact that someone thinks there was an actual conspiracy in this instance....

Was anyone else expecting the answer to the OP's question to be: a pre-op transexual hooker? I know I was...and it was kind of a let down to be honest.

The rivalry is huge in college when you want to do better then the other team, but the friendship of an individual before college and afterwards should not be changed because of the name on the front of your college jerseys. Both players represented their school as best as they could before leaving. Just because they simply hang out because they have a common interest does not give us reason to question their loyalties. I have many state fans, does that mean I care less about ann arbor because we hang out and have a good time?
No one risks their own life to "get back" at someone, most of us have jumped in the passenger side intoxicated while the driver was drinking. Its called stupidity and we all are guilty at some point in our lives.
